They didn't search these guys, despite the security screening units identifying items of concern and further investigation was required, the initial internal investigation has identified a breakdown in the thoroughness of the secondary and manual screening process ... so I'm really not sure who the racists are in your scenario & who they are favouring

Stopped going to the footy because I was sick of getting "random" searches, cracked the shits one time because it happened twice during one game, my white mates weren't searched lol.

I have found MCG staff and security to be prejudiced on many occasions, particularly inside of the MCC.

In particular with "random searches" and "random ID checks" which happen to ensure you have not snuck into the MCC (although I don't even know how you could sneak into the MCC, as there seems to be security at every checkpoint?)

I've been singled out for a pat-down search multiple times during a single game. I don't know of anyone else this this happened to.

As I said, I've never had this happen at another ground before, there's been multiple occasions where I've felt a little bit unwelcome at the MCG and it's never happened at any other venue.

Yeah that sounds a bit excessive for sure. My son did security there for a couple of years not long ago. Christ did he have some stories....the abuse and intimidation these guys and girls get is next level that no-one should have to go through. He would say regularly he was spat at, abused and goaded into some physical altercation.

I think the title Security Guard is misleading. They aren't actually allowed to be involved physically in anyway whatsoever. Their role is to observe and call police if anything gets out of hand. Essentially cardboard cut outs.
