Is anyone else got a few butterflies about tonights game?

I haven't been this pumped since the finals last season.

I reckon this is a genuine test of where we are at.

Last season it took a complete game of total commitment and we still only snuck in by 7 points against the crows at AAMI.

This is HUGE!

Hell yes! Having no game last week has really got me worked up for this one. I'm working late otherwise i'd be bouncing off the walls at home counting down the minutes.

Not nervous about it at all, Ive never had so much self belief in our catters than ever before than i have these days, Isnt it such an awesome feeling going into every game with so much confidence & not having those negative thoughts creep in to the back of our minds like we would have a few years ago.

It doesn't help that the two teams we play at the MCG on a Friday night this year are the Pies and Hawthorn... our two bogey teams.

Hopefully its just that we generally play Collingwood on a Friday night at the 'G who match up well on us, not an MCG night 'curse'.

I'm as nervous as I am any other game. Not sure what I am going to do to keep myself occupied between 8:10 and 8:40 though.

With only 2 hours to go it has sunk in the game is not LIVE!

FFS i absolutely hate delays and listening on radio to a cats game. Yes im stupid for not actually looking into this but i have become accostomed to seeing EVERY game live or at least live on TV if interstate.

If i had of known i would have booked a flight to Adelaide, i was so close anyway but thought ild save money and i already went to Adelaide in Rd 1

Now what are you all doing? I will have people callin me or texting me about the game during it, likely giving me updates especially if we are losing. Its guaranteed. Now i gotta turn off my mobile and lock myself inside. Is this normal behaviour or completely unhealthy obsessed behaviour?

I HATE CHANNEL 7 WITH A PASSION and i rarely use the word HATE with meaning. They seriously suck. How hard is it to put it on half an hour earlier. Oh but no we gotta have better homes and ____ing gardens.

Sadly, I think we'll get done. I sure hope not though. There's just something about us playing Adelaide in Adelaide. Last time I journeyed there for a game we got pasted by 93 points!

Do players find it easier to cope than us fans, I wonder? Coz I'm a bit antsy today as well.

Some more prone to anxiety & nerves would be a little jumpy, but I think they all have a pretty solid game day routine by now. Plus they have those warm ups where they shoulder charge each other to toughen up and that would shake out some nerves.

I also hate C7's AFL coverage. They treat us like its a royal privilege that they kind enough to show us a few games a week. I don't have to mention what they do with the Sunday games. Bring back 5 games on free to air with C9 + 10.

I heard a stat last year.....it was something along the lines of Geelong has only won 3 of our past MCG 12 night games.......

we do have a bad record under lights at the G which is why i will never support a night Granny.....(for the time being anyway)
