Just wondering people's thoughts on either T. Gaspar or McDougall

Travis Gaspar has had a horrid run with injuries but was rushed back into the WCE team for the Granny with virtually no football. Would provide excellent cover if Scarlo or Harley went down IMO. Also young and great build. Wet Toast fans say he is very handy

McDougall was the next big thing last year got injured but is still very young. Can maybe play ruck too as our 4th tall

These guys are apparently there if people want them and I would have a serious look at them if we could squeeze them under the salary cap.

McDougall - not interested. Too injury prone, probably too expensive, and at best he would only take Kingsley's place. I don't think he would add anything to our team, especially with Charlie and Mackie competing for basically the same spot. Plus remember these names: Spinks, Mitchell White, Haynes? No good history trading for forwards from West Coast.

Gaspar - I doubt they would trade him, he is highly rated by WCE fans, and if he can get his body right he will release Hunter to play forward. But yes, I would like to have another tall defender on the list.

Also, remember that West Coast have said that they will only trade for picks below 34 now. I wouldn't be prepared to give 31 for McDougall. Maybe for Gaspar, at a pinch. Perhaps if we could upgrade our third rounder with it.

I think we have already done too much trading this week, let's just sit back and reap a crop of young kids this year. Remember that we didn't have a first round pick last year, so we need to catch up a little this year.

McDougall in the ruck lol. Might as well throw Kent in there.

I think a Melbourne, Hawthorn, or Kangaroos will have a crack at Gaspar once this whole Hay thing is sorted, so he would be out of our price range.

35 on cupido or selwood would be ok but I doubt either will be "fire sold" so again, out of our price range.

Hopefully we can do some selling ourselves.

Looks like Rodan may be heading down the highway to the Cattery in exchange for Haynes...
Not a bad pickup if it happens...although whether he's still pacey after that knee is another item of discussion altogether...

Why

Swap for a pick as Roden would not get in our best 27

I'd be pretty happy with getting Rodan for Haynes. Rodan may not be the best going around, but a small crumbing forward with a bit of zip is the type of player that, IMO, the club should be targetting.

He may want a bit too much of the green stuff though.
