Are you talking about me? I changed mine since I thought darky might like it instead of the one she had of Alex. Mine was easier to see. Maybe if you'd keep up with the nightly posts on here instead of watching the boring tennis, you wouldn't fall behind. Who the hell are those people? The Russians/Eastern block chicks all look alike, rather scrawny and plain.

OMG we must be related. Even though I don't swim I couldn't pass up the chance to snorkel on the GBR. I asked my friends to watch out for me that I didn't snorkel in water deeper than my height. They forgot. I got water in my mouth and tried to stand up to spit it out, but the water was over my head. I somehow got into shallower water and walked back to the beach. My friends said that they'd never seen me so white as I looked on that beach.

"I could have drownded." : Arnie, "What Eating Gilbert Grape". I flinched when I showed that part of the film to my Year 11 VCE class.

That is pretty scary- i hate being out of my depth in the ocean, but just had to get over it snorkelling off the boat. With flippers on and a wet suit (even without the wet suit) I found i could float on top of the water pretty easily. I also hate swimming at surf beaches. Not that what you can really do in them can be called "swimming". Bay beaches ftw.

I like Half Moon Bay beach. It's pretty and I got proposed to there.

Great great movie.

I love Gilbert Grape. I think we taught it as Film As Text for two years so I saw it four times with the students, twice prior to each year teaching it, and another two times taking personal notes. I'm sure I watched it a few times before I had to teach it and I know I've seen it a few times since. I've seen/read Macbeth about the same number of times and probably To Kill a Mockingbird too. Watching Stand by Me and reading Tomorrow When the War Began have taken up a bit of my life.

I was father of the bride for a former student's bride. Her parents were divorced and one wouldn't go to the wedding if the other went, so the bride didn't invite either. She was still a uni student here from Fiji and didn't know any "older" gentlemen, so asked me. I have never been so nervous in my life. I'd post a pic of me walking her down the aisle, but ... Anyhoo... they're divorced now. She was and is a bitch. Their daughter is my Goddaughter. She's 21 now. She lives with her father in Jakarta. I had been thinking of flying up there to visit, but not at this time. I haven't seen her since Jan 1999.
