That travel guy was adorable. And looks alot like my brother.
It was great.

That ep was unusual in that they all got jobs. The participants in past episodes were not so successful.
The travel guy seemed so nice and so desperate to get a job. I can't even imagine how difficult it would have been for him to overcome his difficulties. The little woman was more "normal" than most women her age. She seemed so positive. The job for the Downs Syndrome young lady seemed a perfect fit. I wonder if she could drop by and cheer me up on my off days. I guess I'm just an easy target for the underdog. Hmmm... I guess being a Bulldogs supporter reinforces that idea! :D

Back home there was a guy who was mentally challenged who worked at the local grocery store as a bagger. He also belonged to our parish. He was in his 40s and lived with a roommate in our town. Everybody at the store loved him. He used to go to Vegas with his three brothers a few times a year. It just so happened that I was flying there with my brother one time when he and his brothers were going to be there so I told him I'd meet him in the casino lobby and buy him a drink. He said he wasn't allowed to drink because of his medications. I met up with him and his brothers and shouted him a buffet lunch where I as staying. We both had a great time. His brothers were fantastic with him, allowing him to be on his own within limits at the casino, but making sure that they checked me out in case I was a serial killer. LOL He always asked how my mum was doing when I went shopping. When my mum passed away he came to her funeral Mass. Watching last night's show brought back some good memories for me.

Seeing carers most days visiting the old man at the home, the girl with down syndrome looks like a natural with dealing with the elderly.

Would be a tough job that needs quality people as well.

Foxtel must advertise this 'Leah Remini : Scientology and the Aftermath' at least 1,000 times a day.

It's Friday already? What a strange week it's been. My internal calendar is all messed up this week with all of the "holiday" free time. Oh yeah, that's what every week is like for me. :p
There's sooo much work around my place that needs doing but I've done **** all.

LukeParkerno1 too lazy to get up at 2.30am to watch the Swans now that they are no good lol.

That's when I have to get up sometimes to watch the Bears!
I survived 17 years trying to catch the Bulldog games. The first ten years I just listened to the games online. The evening games here started usually at about 4:30am. The Saturday afternoon games here were the best. A 11:10pm start the night before for me. I keep forgetting about watching the Cubs games. Today's started at after 10am this morning. That cuts into my NBC Today Show viewing and Lifetime Movie at noon on weekdays. :D

Apparently it snowed in Chicago Saturday and it was just 1C a little while ago. I rarely planted any vegetables or flowers until Mothers Day since there was a good chance of a killer frost for any new plants outside until then. I wish I would have taken a pic of my garden a few years ago when I planted my 12 tomato plants early and I had to cover them overnight with blankets, bedspreads and bed protectors to keep them from freezing. Growing season was from the start of May until end of October when the first freeze would usually occur. One year we still had some flowers left until the start of December. That must have been 2008 because Obama's Victory party in Grant Park was in early November and it was about 24C that evening. Since Jan 20, 2017 Chicago has had extremely cold winters. I wonder why. ;)

Anyone else bothering with Lego Masters.
I know The Brickman. He's a Bulldogs supporter and visited Chicago twice with his family for a Lego Convention. We all went to a few Cubs games together and I sat with his family at a Bulldogs game when I visited back here one year. Nice guy and family. I PMed him on another site to wish him well. I might have a look at the show on 9NOW. Legos weren't around in the states when I was young so I know almost nothing about them. I heard on the radio this morning that it's a good family show.
