I don't think it could have gone any better.
Went for dinner

Then asked her if she wanted to get ice cream.
Hung out in maccas car park and had a massive pash sesh
My advice is ask plenty of questions and let them do the talking

Anyway I think major thing with first dates is don't get too bummed if it doesn't go well. Unless you're a complete social misfit, sometimes you just don't click with people.

Major thing is to try to relax because then you're more likely to just be yourself.

My default first date is to go for a walk. Hopefully reasonable weather, works much better in summer. Find somewhere busy and meet them there - near a beach is always good - and just take a stroll. You're not sitting facing each other so it's not so confronting for either of you, and being outside moving around takes the edge off anxiety and relaxes people. If you choose somewhere busy you'll see a lot of people and things going on which kicks off plenty of conversation. If it's going well then get a coffee or a drink and play on.
