Since 1977 I haven't had a cat for a month in 1992, eight months Nov 2009 to July 2010 and three months in 2017. That's only 12 months out of 524 months or one year out 43.6 years.

The odd thing comes up but cats are generally pretty cheap vet wise. Not much seems to wrong that often, at least compared to dogs.
