The incident happened in the Sunshine Coast area of Sippy Downs on Sunday night. Police have secured a fire extinguisher, which was ditched nearby.

Tiffani Teasdale, the mother of injured baby Pixie, told the ABC that as the family’s car was stopped at traffic lights, two people on one e-bike pulled up next to the car.

The pair sprayed a fire extinguisher into the vehicle.

I have heard utterly ridiculous stories from the Moonee Ponds area, parking officers fining people that literally just parked there.

Its rubbish how they're getting away with this. Like fair enough if you deserve a ticket, you deserve it. Even if you stay over by one minute.. but ppl are getting complete bullshit fines

Hundreds of thousands of motorists have been robbed by a Melbourne council who have overcharged more than $12m in a major parking fine bungle.

The Herald Sun can reveal Merri-bek Council, formerly Moreland Council, overcharged an estimated 248,000 motorists who breached parking time limits between 2013 and when the error was discovered this month.

It is understood motorists were overcharged an estimated $50 per fine.

It means the council, which covers areas including Brunswick, Coburg, Pascoe Vale and parts of Fitzroy North, is now facing a multimillion budget black hole to repay the money through an opt in refund scheme.

Scott took the opportunity to go into bat for Brownlow Medal favourite Bailey Smith, saying players and staff at Geelong had been “rankled” by reports that some players were unhappy with the antics of the high-octane midfielder.

“When I hear that, your first responsibility as a coach is to get to the truth … ‘is there anything that we’re not across?’ And it’s an emphatic ‘no’,” Scott said.

“And in fact, it’s the opposite. They love him. Our staff love him.

“We’ve had enough to do with Bailey already to think ‘let him go’. And occasionally, because he is so high-profile, there’ll be a few things that maybe step over the mark — but I’d be staggered if it ever comes from a bad place.”
