Same here. It used to be really good but then we had a couple of bad experiences so no more. We don't get that much takeaway, but when we do we buy direct from the restaurant now.

Was out shopping with my mum and we nearly got run over, (It was our fault). We crossed at the lights and then waited at the lights with other people to cross the other street. A lady is crossing the street from the other the direction and then we hear the pedestrian signal noise so we start crossing along with some of the other people. Cars go BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEP. The lights were still red!!! Someone obviously didn't press the button and the noise we heard was from the pedestrian lights behind us. But it was really loud. It's not good if someone is vision impaired or blind.

I think we walked because the lady was crossing from the other side and another lady that was in front of us started walking. Plus we weren't concentrating because we were too busy yapping .

I remember staring at a set of traffic lights that were green- too bad the ones that were before it were red.

When I went back home to the States, I was always very cautious when crossing any busy road and always crossed at the lights because of the traffic direction. I did cause an accident once when I was in the crosswalk with the green light and the car in back of the lead car that was turning stopped for me. Unfortunately the car behind him didn't. Only a fender bender, but I felt sorry for the guy who stopped as was lawful.

When I came back here eight years ago, I was again cautious when crossing. That was when I could actually walk across a street with my cane or my two wheeled walker.
