I didn't mind being an electrician at the time but imo it's an overrated job compared to what most people think.

Lots of digging. Crawling around it dusty, hot roofs. Ocassionally getting electrocuted. Industrial might not have the first 2 but it's generally spending all day in bleak and noisy place.
