Staffys are great but I would never want to own one
Way worse than that he had some pitbull as well. As much as I love that dog still wouldn't try owning one.
Or a German Shepherd

They are brilliant, so elegant and clever. Plus scary guard abilities.

Auntie had one in the 90s on their 2 acre property and probably my 2nd favourite dog.

Friendly if you knew it but unlike my mates dog would 100% go at any random visitor uninvited.

But I didn't see it for like 5 years and walked through the gate on my one day it greeted my like an old friend, she remembered me.

I say I'm not a dog person, I do love them but just find they have a couple of big negatives in they are a lot of work to look after and smell. Plus barking and poo everywhere. Cats you can leave set up inside for a couple of days to look after themselves, dog no way need to pay for a kennel or someone to look after them. Dogs also age quicker and more badly.

Worst dogs I have encounters was the neighbours St Bernard, just something about it, never trusted it. Drooled over everything. The kid visiting was a jerk and was probably teasing it but it eventually got put down for bitting him.

Other one was a mates Blue Heeler, just looked nasty in nature and randomly killed one of their kittens.

Yeah barking can be a problem especially if they're good guard dogs.

We trained our dog to only poo and wee around the side of the house. The only time he didn't was when it was raining and he went under the carport.
We had to train him at the holiday house too!

Omg St Bernard's are huge! I remember when I was really young we visited someone's house and they had one. I was sitting on a chair and it came and jumped on me and practically squashed me!

Actually kelpies are easily some of the worst dogs for actually biting people. One bit my sister on the face as a little kid.
100% this! Our neighbours son has a Jack Russell and the two times we've seen him he did not stop barking. Yap yap yap the WHOLE time!
My cat Chloe would troll the neighbours Jack Russell's by sitting on top of the fence looking at them whilst they barked.
