It happens. 2016 grand final the swans were awarded 1 free kick in 3 quarters. 1 free kick!! It was umpire Scott Jeffrey's first and last grand final. The AFL came out and said he was "overwhelmed " by the occasion. They did a review after the game and found that the umpiring was not up to the standard expected.
