Dave Kitchin, from Southport North-West Ambulance Service, says 27 patients in total were taken to hospital by ambulance, but many others took themselves to the hospital.
“Sadly, four of the injured were children who were enjoying the day with their friends and their families,” Kitchin said.
“We can confirm that our teams treated 20 patients at the scene for minor injuries, and these did not need hospital treatment. 27 patients in total were taken to hospital by ambulance, and we believe two of those, including one of the children, have sustained serious injuries.”
He said it was an appalling incident, and people were deeply upset.
“The people of Liverpool have shown many times before that you are a strong community and you support one another.
“All of us at North-West ambulance service share with you the frustration that this wonderful day has ended like this, and we hope that those who have been injured make a speedy recovery.”
Mate.. it's just a game.

Vision filmed by the Associated Press news agency in Hanoi on Sunday evening (Monday AEST) emerged showing what appeared to be a tiff between the pair as they were preparing to disembark an aeroplane upon arrival into Vietnam.

But Mr Macron later told reporters the pair were merely “fooling around”.

“We were bickering – or rather just fooling around – with my wife, but to my surprise, it turned into some kind of geopolitical catastrophe ,” he said, in a translation from the French.

The Australian Property Institute’s (API) Valuation Report, released Tuesday, shows that in 1975, Sydney homebuyers needed just 4.2 times the average annual income to purchase a home. By 2024, that figure had soared to 13 times.

Melbourne’s ratio more than doubled from 3.5 to 8.4, while Brisbane’s nearly tripled from 2.9 to 8.3. Nationally, the income-to-house-price ratio jumped from 3.4 to 8.1.

Smaller capitals have seen the sharpest price growth over the past 20 years. Adelaide house prices rose 175 per cent, ahead of Hobart (172 per cent), Sydney (171 per cent), Brisbane and Melbourne (169 per cent), Canberra (148 per cent), and Darwin (102 per cent) — far outpacing the 67 per cent rise in inflation.
