Was out walking this morning and there are alot of houses with Aussie flags [emoji1037]. Also a number of cars going by with flags. It's sad that I'm just reminded of the crazy Trump MAGA supporters with their flags waving at the back of their pickup trucks.

A resident here has two of them on his car. I immediately thought of the MAGA clowns. I cringe at the excessive phony patriotism of some of my fellow Americans. I refused to stand during God Bless America when sung at baseball games. It was an addition after 9/11 and is not our national anthem. No standing required.

My dad smoked them. He ended up with emphysema. My mum made him go outside to smoke back in the 90s. None of my four siblings or I smoke.

I've never ever smoked. Not even tried it once. I'm glad none of my friends smoked so I was never pressured.

I used to hate the days when people could smoke in pubs etc. My clothes and hair used to stink! I was very happy when they changed the law just after I started working.

Our car and house used to smell like an ashtray. My dad mostly stopped after he had a minor heart attack, but we could see the smoke drift past our living room windows when he stood at the garage door to smoke. We acted like we didn't notice, so he wouldn't start smoking inside. I've never allowed anyone to smoke in any place I've lived.

I have little sympathy for anyone who reached adulthood in the 80s and beyond who smokes and has a smoke related illness. They've been warned.

As a long term smoker who gave up two years ago I glad that things are for not smoking at all.
But as a vaper, I can't see how young people would be on a ride from vapes to cigarettes, .....it tastes like shit
