From the footage it looks like the helicopter goes straight into the plane as if the pilot didn't see it. You can also see another plane in the footage. There is speculation that maybe when the traffic controller asked the helicopter if they could see the plane and they replied yes, that maybe they saw the other plane and assumed that's what the traffic controller was referring to.Chopper told by air traffic control to pass behind the plane.
