Today is the second anniversary of the day that a friend took his life. I still have his phone number and pic on my phone. He was the former husband of the daughter of the person who let me stay in her bungalow in Keilor for three and a half years. The last time I saw him was Christmas Day 2022 when he drove me home from Christmas lunch at his ex's place. They remained friends, even to the point of her letting him live at her place since he was having a difficult time in all aspects of his life. He hanged himself in the tool shed and she found the body. He had left her a final note. I texted her today and we agreed to smile at the good memories we have of him. However, I still shed a tear today.
