On this day in 1975 tv switched to colour
All we have ever known is colour tv.

I remember when my parents bought the holiday house, the tv that was left in the house was black and white. It was so strange watching tv .

Here it is. It doesn't look as good as the ones I have previously made because for some reason the filling overflowed a little while it was baking. I'm sure It will still taste good [emoji4].

$1000 for a colour tv

$8k in today's language
I arrived in August 1975. A colour TV cost too much, especially just starting up. I rented a TV for a few years. Gosh, rent for my one bedroom unit in Maribyrnong cost me $27 a week. It went for $400 a week in 2022.

I used to take the 57 tram from Maribyrnong to Ascot Vale to pay my $108 every month at the real estate agent. The trip cost me 15c each way.

I arrived in Australia with US$500, which was only about AU$340 at the time. I got my first paycheck two weeks later, which was about $300 for a fortnight. I could afford a new sofa and two seat kitchen table set. I gradually bought furnishings. I saved enough from then(early September) until Christmas to afford a two week trip to Fiji in late December. I was rich!

Her manager was a smart man. Too bad she didn't listen
Ok I'm re thinking this entirely. The man was heavily involved in the film.

So ya know.. probably all a big load of rubbish.

Apparently Robin was quiet and not at all like how she was portrayed. Ie. A massive loud mouth and annoying
