Mum made the wrapped cabbage leaves when we were young. She also made wrapped vine leaves (dolmades), however no one in the family grows the vine leaves anymore.Yes, very similar. We used tomato puree instead of tomato soup. My mum might have added diced onions to the mince.
My favourites were cabbage rolls. Mince and rice and spices wrapped in cabbage leaves and tied with string. We had a sauce of beef broth and mushroom soup. They're usually cooked in a tomato sauce, but my grandmother went the beefy sauce way.
