At swim club I one day noticed that I teach and coach kids to swim breastroke very differently than everyone else. Then looking through all the Olympics I just do it with a technique from way back in the 80s and early 90s.

Watched the guy smash the wr in 84 and how he swam a fair bit. You assume that the guy would just be living the back end of his life out now but then read this

A few months after his retirement, on November 11, 1989, while outside a nightclub in the suburb of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Davis was struck by a car driven by Glen Crossley, who fled the scene. Crossley told police he hit Davis while trying to avoid a juice bottle Davis threatened to throw at the vehicle and didn't realize he made contact with the swimmer. However, other testimony showed that Davis was actually hit from behind and thrown 14 m (46 ft) in the air before hitting his head on a parked car and a street curb.Two days later, the 25-year-old swimmer died of a severe and spinal hemorrhage in hospital. In February 1992, Crossley was found guilty of leaving the scene of an accident and sentenced to ten months in prison, ultimately serving four months.

I got 2 kicks in a losing colts GF. In junk time Ironically after playing the game of my life in the PF, even got specifically mentioned on the radio.

We won the next year, played an very ordinary game but got about 7 posessions and kicked a goal albeit late with the game over.
