Accused childcare sex predator Joshua Brown will be under the highest level of security and isolation inside jail.
Brown has been in a maximum security environment since his May arrest and charging over 70 sex offences, including rape, at a Point Cook early learning centre.
Child sex offenders and those accused of such crimes are the most endangered inmates in the corrections system.
One corrections source said the 26-year-old Brown’s movements and contact with others would be extremely restricted.
“If they put him out in mainstream, he would be dead. (Crimes against) kids are taboo in the underworld,” the source said.
“He would have no contact with anyone other than staff. They would not put him out to mix with any other prisoners.”

Jurors in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial reached a partial verdict – but it wasn’t immediately clear whether they would be allowed to deliver their decision.
The panel reported after some 12 hours of deliberations on Tuesday that it had decided whether to find Combs guilty on four out of five counts — but couldn’t agree on the racketeering charge.
