'muricuhUS jury members get $6 a day?
What a country.
I was called for jury duty about 15 years ago back home. I had to take taxis each way and was given a small stipend, probably about $15. The return trip cost me about $50. I had no intention of serving on a jury since I was caregiver for my mum. I requested an exception which was denied. At the County courthouse we were given lunch and all I did was sit around since I wasn't called for a trial.US jury members get $6 a day?

When I was selected on a jury a couple of years ago, we were only paid $40 a day. We weren't provided lunch. If I would have been called, I planned on using my cop brother's experience in the County sheriff's office to be disqualified. I learned that that was usually a way to get out of it. Didn't get that far.
