Second Ashes Test starts today. You're up just in time 🙂.
I'm watching the Lifetime movie that's on Ch 7 before the cricket. I've seen it before.

I got my Christmas shopping on Amazon done. Stuff is coming tomorrow.

Oh hey! How you been?
Up and down. Felt bad enough yesterday to almost call an ambulance. As long as I'm having more good days than bad days, I'm happy. How are you going?

Today is an inside day only. Can't go out to walk down to get my dinner because of the heat. Anything over 25 or so can be dangerous since my neurological illness screws up body temperature regulation. I could easily overheat and faint. Just putting my a/c on now.

Yeah not bad been through a bit this year, family things don't worry, but getting there. Glad you are having more good than bad days, my love to you as always

No rain forecast for Brisbane today so good day to be inside and watch us touch up the Poms!

Damn golf and cricket are disrupting my regular afternoon game show viewing. I might watch a couple of hours of Big Brother Live instead. I hate summer.

I hate the hot weather but love the cricket, Test cricket you definitely have to grow up with I'd say.
I went to the Boxing Day test a few times back in the 80s/90s. I also went to a few of the One Day games, especially to watch the West Indies.

I took my parents to see the 1982 Ashes Test on Boxing Day for the historical significance. They had flown out to visit me for a few weeks. They had no idea what was happening. We only stayed for a couple of hours. Both were confused as who was on which team because they all wore white. We also went to Christmas by Candlelight. They were not used to being outside at Christmastime.

We also flew to Tassie for a week and drove through the centre from Devonport to Hobart and up the east coast back to Devonport. They loved Tassie. It was my second visit. When I was diagnosed with my illness, specialists suggested that I move there because of the cooler weather. Too far away from the footy. Now if the Tassie Devils would have existed in 2018, you never know... 😀

It's funny watching cricket with people not familiar with the game, some of the observations they make like your parents did are things we don't even think about. Very tough game to teach someone about, one of the mums in my son's cricket team is a foreigner, no idea about cricket, she's trying to learn but every question begs another one haha

I sat with an American couple at the footy, Fitzroy's last game at the MCG in 1996. I went since I had a soft spot for Fitzroy and their supporters. I met the couple while in the queue for tickets. They were staying at the Hilton across from the MCG and saw the crowd, so decided to have a look. I tried to explain the significance of the day while also trying to explain the rules. They left at quarter time. They liked it, but were very confused.

I've had the Test on(saw the second wicket taken) TV and Big Brother Live on my phone. I might lose my American citizenship for that. Please don't tell Trump.

Did you actually get to see/hear any Big Brother or was it muted/fish cam/laundry cam etc?

I only watch a bit. Boring stuff and muted much of the time.

Bears v Packers 5.25 Monday morning.

Should just sign in at 5.30 and go home for 3 hours.
That's 8.25 am here. I usually stay up until after the 3am religious service I watch from Washington DC. Asleep by 5am. Don't think I can do both. I'll have to watch the pirate site on my laptop if I do watch.

I'm pissed off with Ch 10. Since September they've shown the American Wheel of Fortune at 2pm every weekday. I've barely missed an episode. For some reason they're now showing a repeat of Deal or No Deal, one of the most low IQ quiz shows ever made in its place. Little knowledge is necessary, just knowing numbers from 1 to 22. And I can't stand that midget, Grant Denyer.
