As a Swans supporter I've seen amazing pre game entertainment recently in Robbie Williams and Katy Perry. However, the actual grand final result was an embarrassment. I would rather have crap entertainment and see the Swans win a grand final!

Yes I went to 2016. I didn't remember who performed.

I've been to every grand final since 1996, except for the 2 lockdown years and 2023. So it's hard to remember who performed which year. I'd even forgotten which year Meatloaf performed!

I loved it to be honest. Won’t beat Moskau in 1980 or Olympic Theme in 84 but still a quality tune

I totally agree. My parents were never wrapped up in material things. Our home was extraordinarily ordinary. My sister, on the other hand, has a McMansion. She and my b-i-l actually upsized when their two kids moved out and purchased in a snooty neighbourhood.

My first year of teaching I had a girl named Voula in my Form 3 English class. She used to come over to the staff room at recess or lunch and ask to see me. When I'd go to the door, she'd sometimes just stood there without asking or saying anything to me. I found it rather strange until a colleague said that she had a crush on me. I didn't have a clue. Teacher training in the states never touched on the topic of crushes. I was only 23 at the time. If only she could see me now.

Voula is a shortened form of my Greek name that I was christened as. I was named after my paternal yiayia. I have 3 other cousins with the same Greek name. We all have different English names that are on our birth certificates.
