I think Reid may play back again, either way he's one of those generally maligned players who usually do well against us. Tippett was good last time we played. I will say I'm confident a rested McPharlin can hold a less than fully fit Buddy at bay, and as you say we should have a decisive advantage in the middle.

McPharlin and Johnson held Buddy (fully fit) and Tippett to a total of 4 goals earlier this year at Subiaco. And that was when Dawson was not playing.

Both kicked 2.2. For some reason I thought Tippett kicked 3-4. Yeah, being able to play a proper key defender on him will be useful this time. Love Johnno but don't like it when he has to be matched up on gorillas.

Expect McPharlin to go to Buddy, Dawson to Tippett and Johnson to Reid (if he plays in the forward line). If Reid goes back, Johnno and Ibbo will have a field day double and triple teaming the Sydney KPFs.

I'm nervous about this game regardless of it being played at Subi. Will be a cracking game. I hope Ballas gets up for the game. Both he and Walters on fire would be a handful at ground level.

Reid and Tippett will get owned by McPharlin, Dawson and Johnson. Sydney's midfield class reduced to Kennedy and Mitchell vs Fyfe, Mundy, Barlow, Neale and Hill.

Seriously? Hannebery is no slouch. Jetta would break even with Hill. Heeney is a gun. Surely you could make a case for their midfield being better than ours (when fit of course).

But that's the point. They will be missing Parker and Jack who are their second and third best mids.

Sydney haven't had the best record at Subi but it's always scary!

I think Kennedy and Hannebery are Sydney's best mids. After that it's Parker, Jack and Mitchell.

Whatever, missing Parker and Jack would be like Freo missing Barlow and Neale. It's going to leave a massive hole.

Will someone write a proper preview thread or parcel it off like last time among members?

I would do it, but I have a research project due in a week that's only half-written, and I'm spooked because we've lost the games I made preview threads for.:eek:

Please do not make the preview thread then.

The dimensions at Subi help Freo but fir some reason I'm just unsure if we will be favourites. We don't even know if Jack will be out or not and yes he would be a bug loss.

Longmire has said 2-3 weeks for Jack. Bookies have Freo has comfortable favourites over Swans.

Neither. :( used to be us, but the play-on-at-all-costs has not been kind to our wet weather ability, and we have too many people who go to ground in slippery conditions. (Ballas!)
I guess it will nulify their talls a bit. And you're right, we have been awful in the wet this year.

You wouldn't be a Fremantle supporter if you weren't nervous!
