I'm in Canberra so I can't make it, but I'll be trotting down after I graduate in June for a weekend of footy, so I'd put my hand up for something down the track.

North or South? I'm keen to meet up with a few fellow Eagles supporters in Canberra to watch some games, if theres any interest.

As for Melbourne, I'm hoping to head down for the Richmond game in June. Would be good to have a few brews with some fellow Eagles fans.

Was in Melb for the GP a coupla weekends ago and headed to the Cricket Club Hotel in South Melbourne to watch the Eagles v Lions game. Great little pub with a few Eagles supporters there. I read on another thread that the owner is an Eagles fan apparently. That might explain it.

North or South? Wouldn't mind hooking up with some Eagles fans to catch a few games at a pub.
North, but I'm a bit of a transient when it comes to housing. Generally I'm at work when the games are on as it's the nature of my job, but when I'm not I usually watch the games at home and get pissed. Even last year when I was living in Downer I'd watch the games alone while hitting the drink, yelling and screaming and farting and generally annoying my housemates. Ainslie FC is the best place to watch AFL games in public, not sure if you've been there before but you get quite a few Eagles fans. The last time I went there was a Carlton game on at the same time; I was surprised I didn't get hit by stray schooner glasses. I also once tried to watch a Saturday night game at the Tradies in Dickson (before I got Foxtel) - huge mistake that was. Got told in no uncertain terms by the staff there that I could piss off if I wanted to watch AFL.

I'm now in Belconnen so the Magpies is the closest - it's a decent place to watch, they've got the big screen and not that many people go along, it's just hard reconciling myself with the fact that I'm giving money to Port Adelaide.

Yeah I'd prefer to watch the game at home too but no foxtel (still working on the other half on this one) so when it is on FTA the wife and kids get a bit of entertainment and theatre watching me watch the football.

I'm down in Calwell so its generally the Calwell Club for me if watchin it on foxtel (or a mates house). Although its affiliated with Eastlakes its not really an 'AFL' club so generally get relegated to the sports/betting area which has its own big screen. It ain't too bad as theres no one much around so can get pretty comfy and right at home. Never have to line up for a beer! :thumbsu:

Not been to Ainslie, bit of a trek if I want to get on it a bit. Eastlakes ain't too bad but again, pain in the arse trying to get home after a few too many beers. I might head there if I'm desperate for some interaction with Eagles supporters though.

I always thought of it as saving money by having Foxtel and buying my own beer to drink at home rather than drinking at the club, especially at places like the Tradies that are charging boutique prices for a schooner of shitty beer. Probably not quite as workable though when you've got the little sproglets. Best thing though, never have to worry about drink driving.

Mate I've been working on that angle with my missus for the better part of the last 12 months (loved the new foxtel ads) and it hasn't worked because her prob isn't the $$. Its the time I'm going to 'waste' in front of the thing watching everything footy or sport related.....

... as much as I hate to admit it... she knows me too well! :p

Although 'waste' is not a term I would use in relation to spending as much time as possible watching every sport imaginable, especially the footy.

Yeah, the CC's owner is a top bloke. The place is packed with WCE/Freo fans each week. The place has the best food...love the joint.

I'll be catching tomorrow's game there.
