Who remembers the first game they attended?
Mine was South Melbourne (remember them?) v Essendon at the Lakeside Oval in 1978.
I was 9 years old, couldn't see a bloody thing, it pissed rain all day and i was hooked. Where was yours?

where's wally?

My first one was in the back seat of a Mini and I had this enormous....oops, you mean first footy match, sorry.
My first was in Adelaide - Sturt Vs West Adelaide. About 1958, I think. Shit, I am old.

My first game was in 77 (aged 8), we were playing Essendon at Arden Street, and I remember we won the game with about 16 fit men. My first Grand Final was in 78, and I can remember it (for all the wrong reasons) as if it were yesterday.

My first game was 1974 against the Tigers at Windy Hill. We were standing behind the goals at the Napier St end, the Tigers won & an all in brawl started as soon as the final siren went. The Bombers won that fight though.

North vs Carlton. Round 6 or 7, 1979. Liked both teams but made the choice outside the ground that I was going to be a Blues supporter. Nip and tuck all day but Blight kicked a couple in the last and North won by 4 points. I didn't swap sides though and was rewarded at the end of the season.

You must be joking - we're talking pre TV days here. Far too long ago to remember.

I am grateful that I am not as judgmental as all these censorious, self-righteous people around me.

Queen's Birthday, 1976. Roys vs Essendon at VFL Park (remember VFL Park?). Roys came from behind at 3qt to win 16.14 to 13.22 with Max George booting 5 on debut. Ahh those were the days...A quarter of a century may have passed by, but it's still 1976 in my mind.

North vs Essendon Rd 2, 1981 I think at Arden St. Remember bugger all about it except we lost and I couldn't see much cos I was still a midget.

my first game was an sanfl game, at footy park, in 1987, glenelg v torrens , what a team we had ! I still have the footy budget from the game, my first afl game was in 91 or 92 at footy park, adelaide lost to collingwood in the wet

about round 8 (?????) in 1989, north against fitzroy at princess park, the ground was as muddy as you would think possible, and fitzroy only managed 1 goal to our 6 (???). it was also carey's first game

Western Oval 1970 Dad took me to see Ted whittens last game, I was 6. It was bloody great I ran away and hid behind the scoreboard and got into trouble for throwing stones at a policeman. I'd never seen so many stones in one place as there were in the outer at the old VFL grounds.

I don't remember a whole lot, sometime in the early 90's, at the MCG and involving the Roys.

Could have been playing Essendon, all I remember is I got my scarf that day. It's one of those old-style ones, longer and thicker than the ones ya get today.

My first AFL game was the crows first AFL game against hawthorn in 1991. (this minus the ansett cup and trials) We won by 80 odd points from memory, Dermott got reported for decking Mcdermott, and i was happy cos my mum is a hawks fan.

My first SANFL game i cant remember...the first game i can remmeber is a minot round game agianst Central Districts at Footy Park and we won by plenty in 1988

It was 1989.
My dad took me to Victoria Park to watch the pies take on the eagles. The eagles won the match by about 20 points off meomery.
