I wonder if Collingwood manage to snare pick 6 and take Freeman before Melbourne, will the Dees look at taking Salem with pick 9? Pretty clear they're not that into Aish and they've already said they're definitely taking a pure mid.

If Aish slips thank the Gods. Kid can play, recruiters are trying to dig deeper below the surface than what is really there, 2 SANFL Premierships before being drafted is not a bad pedigree I say.

Yeah I don't see that he will, or could, but on what I've managed to see he's a poised and balanced outside user with good skills and excellent vision. Would fall off my chair if he lasted to us.
Half suspect he's who the Pies seek at 6.

But we already have enough solid players. Need the type of player that can turn a game.

I would argue our top end talent is our strong point, our weakness is players 15-22. I would be extremely happy if we picked up yet another top 10 200 gamer with little weakness and a role to excel at.

My prediction for how the first 12 may pan out should the Pies/Eagles deal go down:

1. GWS - Boyd
2. GWS - Kelly
3. St Kilda - Aish
4. Western Bulldogs - Scharenberg
5. Gold Coast - Kolodashnij
6. Collingwood - Freeman
7. Brisbane Lions - Billings
8. North Melbourne - McDonald
9. Melbourne - Bontempelli
10. West Coast - Sheed
11. Collingwood - Lennon
12. Richmond - Salem

Have you seen the standard of the SANFL?.Our entire 73 premiership side can make a comeback and win it.:D

Would be happy with either Salem or Freeman. I trust the club to make the right call whoever it is though.

Can anybody tell me more about Crouch? His disposal numbers are insane. Besides his work ethic, what are his issues keeping him down in the draft? I remember hearing The List Manager (lol) say he was a pick at around 20 or so. Any info?

Where are all the potential draftee vids that I've watched 845 times for each player in previous years?

They usually appear with 1 month till the draft time.

Exactly! Pretty much all my talent identification 'expertise' o_O comes from watching the highlight vids and reading profiles by trusted posters. While the highlights can be misleading, they at least give an idea of players current top-end capabilities.

Im Happy to pick a kid as good as our previous first rounders

Deledio, Cotchin, Martin, Conca, Ellis, Vlastuin, ?

If the next kid can sit along side that caliber and not look out of place than we are building towards something.

If we miss on Freeman and Salem my next choice would b Crouch.

Wouldnt suprise me if we took Crouch before Salem.

Had a brief chat with FJ at a function this year.

He said Dimma doesn't make drafting decisions, of course, but his instructions are consistent with mids:

Tall (or at least not short).
Can kick very well
Put their head over the ball, naturally

If anyone doesn't have these characteristics, it's a bloody tough sell to Dimma.

I think some posters are really selling those first rounders short as solid citizens but nothing special. Talent to burn in those players imo.

There is no way that Freeman will go at 6, Collingwood would only climb up to 6 to get Bontempelli. What could happen is Billings would go at 2, Kelly at 3, Aish/Scharenberg at 4. Gold Coast Kolo and Aish slips to pick 6.

Have heard that Collingwood love him that is why they are trying to move up as they know that he'll definitely be there are 6, not so sure he gets through to 10 though
