I tell you what another ton tomorrow and Joe Burns could force their hand.
Marsh made a ton.
That's worth 5 tons in a row from Joe Burns or Callum Ferguson etc.

Burns has scored a lot more this year and frankly we know his inconsistency
That's good for Joe Burns, I am pleased for him that he is having a good Shield season.
Is he the son of Geoff Marsh? Has he made test 100s for Australia before? Is his brother in the team?

You're kidding. are we actually picking someone who averaged less than 5 last time we played India? Bring back Quiney against SA thenWould Shaun have even got a chance of his name wasn't Marsh- meh still a week for him to do his hammy lol
Can he beat his 2.8 average against India from Last time lmao

Don't really think we're a better side with Marsh in but it's his spot to lose now.
Joe Burns has made 2 meaningful contributions this Shield season. Would have Handscomb ahead Joe whilst Ferguson would be a step ahead again IMHO as a proven international performer.
13 overs may be enough but we don't know for sure. It does sound like the selectors are going to let Harris make the call.
Unlike our batsmen i think they can safely do that, harris won't pass himself if he doesn't think he can make it through the 5 days.
Would it be worthwhile for him to line up in grade cricket on Saturday to get some overs in the legs or just bowl in the nets?13 overs may be enough but we don't know for sure. It does sound like the selectors are going to let Harris make the call.

Burns is batting in the top order. I love Handscomb but he is batting 7 this season. Ferguson hasn't shown me he will be any better than a Doolan type. Might as well pick Doolan or Cowan to average 30. Burns has 2 hundreds, a good score yesterday.
Handscomb has not batted 7 once this year.
He is playing as the keeper while Wade is away at least. Whilst I rate the bloke, he needs to bat at 3 or 4 to be considered for a top 4 spot, especially when he is outside the squad.
Shaun Marsh has batted at 5

We are looking for a number 4-5...so yes. We are not looking for a number 6/7.
