has nashy played a praccy game yet this year???

if not it means that it may take him up to 2 months to be pushing for a spot in the side

He averaged 15+ possies last season, all quality. Like i said Mcveigh and MJ would be the only ones i'd coose over him at this stage.

oops sorry mate i misread ya.. Thought you would have Nash over MJ and Macca.
His spot in the team is really against Welsh and Slats. I think Welsh just has it..

I don't think we'll be flogged; but I'm not 100% confident of coming away from AAMI Stadium with a win either. Although I guess anything's possible if you want it badly enough. Can't wait to head down there to AAMI Stadium next Sunday afternoon and see the boys in action.

I am extremely confident. You lot are saying all this about our weak forward line but more than half of our goals come from our midfield.

Thompson, Burton, Goodwin, Bode, Welsh, Perrie, Edwards, Bock, McLeod etc etc are all goalscorers.

And don't underestimate Bock...gun that kid.

We will win, and win comfortably.

it puts alot of pressure onto your midfielders if you are expecting them to contribute bags of goals week in week out.

We still have Bock, Welsh, Perrie and Burton in the forward line!

You will get flogged!

Ha -you mention Perrie - what a dud.

I think we'll lose by 8 goals - but if you rely on Perrie - we might just win.

My main concern will be Welsh and Bock. We should be able to minimise Burtons impact - he is a loony so he will do stuff, but it's Welsh that loves having a day out aginst us - and Bock is quite mobile - he will give Flecth a run for his money.

Our other problem will be their half back line - if our half forwards apply no pressure - good night.

Looking forward to Johncock on Davey - will be very interesting.

despite how terrible perrie is, he will still have to take one of your better defenders making it easier for another forward to score goals. Hes a decoy that can hurt you if left unguarded.

Adelaides forward line fills me with optimism.

Going to be very tough in the midfield but we dont need to dominate in the middle, just break even and our KP's will sort the rest out.

thanks for that mate.

i guess the dry conditions should suit us with our 3 big marking forwards. we also probably don't want too many wet games this year as our foot skills will be put to the test on enough occasions.

Wouldn't we want it wet if our footskills are not the best because it limits the damage the of the oppisition side, and makes it a more scrappy game .

I hope we stick it too Adelaide and the rest of the compitition, and show them we aren't slow anymore.

if it was a night game and the conditions were dewey any deficencies with our skills would be multiplied. same applies for a wet ground

i reckon if it was a sloppy game we would get belted. they would push us off the ball and lloydy and scotty would struggle.

as you said our pace would also benefit from the dry conditions

I half dissagree, if it was wet our midfield would stand more of a chance to stop or even beat Adelaides midfield as the skills won't be as good anyway therefor whoever is going in hardest should win the midfield battle.

If we are talking talls we have better talls then them at this point in time and a wet sloppy game would disadvantage us greatly in terms of our talls.

The game last year agaisnt st kilda I think highlights how our tough but not so polished midfield can be heavily advantaged in wet conditions.
