Anyone who just read thar vile condescending crap must be as angry as me surely. The only thing left to hurt is their ego because they all have enough money to not care if we turn up or not, so I think the times come for protests and the like

My idea would be to simply turn our back on the team during the whole “Time for the huddle crap”.

All in all that email was worse then the performance from yesterday. Worse then a 200 point loss even. Absolute trash

Last week he was saying we were no chance for the spoon. Both Simmo and Fitzpatrick have pulled out the ‘roll up our sleeves’ line which is a coaching cliche I hate. Such a nothing thing to say, no specific ideas on what to change, just saying well, we’ll try again next week.

Was much worse. His condescening "we need you" is the biggest load of wank ive ever read. You have thounsands of dollars of our money. You dont need any more from me. YOU need to provide ME a better product for my money

Fitzpatrick basically has zero respect for the paying members. To him we are interchangeable pieces of furniture I feel. The guy might be good at something, but reading the room and public relation sure as hell isnt it

With his statement from today, he should be the first to leave if you ask me. We aint winning nothing with a arrogant attitude like his

What about the other 100 point losses, or the 12 40+ point losses in a row ? Do we stand for them or leave them “aside” too?

We’re a live chance to record the worst percentage since 1945, we’ve lost 40 of the last 45 games and your message is ‘stay the course, we have a strategy, and don’t forget about the injuries.’

**** these boomers. What a weak statement. This club stands for nothing at the moment except looking after the exec and everyone else that’s been there for 2 decades. Arrogant as always.

24 hours and they produce this dribble. I am angrier reading this than I was watching the game yesterday.

To give me hope they need to tell how they will turn it around.

Measured and reasonable public statement. Did you expect BF level hysteria?

Reasonable my ass. He has no right to tell fans to keep turning up and spending our money on this crap. If he wants people to turn up, he should own a product worth turning up to see

You have been told - going to the draft. Other options taht have publically specifically not been discounted include trades and FA's, but we have bugger all to trade. We 'all' know that. What has not been said is that there will be change, unstated but profoundly inappropriate to condemn careers in public.

I suggest your hysterical outrage was set in concrete months ago, just waiting for the email.

It was a nothing email. Quite pointless. But I get why they felt they had to say something after the magnitude of what happened yesterday.

Chat GPT did a better job than him.

Dear West Coast Eagles Members,

Today, I address you with a heavy heart, but also with an unwavering determination to turn our fortunes around.

Yesterday's defeat was undoubtedly a devastating blow, not only to the team but to each and every one of us who bleeds blue and gold. We are acutely aware that it marks the worst loss in the history of our beloved club, and the stats showing 40 losses out of 45 games only add to the frustration and disappointment we all share.

However, in the face of adversity, it is crucial that we come together as a united front. Now more than ever, we need to rally behind our players, coaches, and the entire West Coast Eagles family. Difficult moments test our character, and it is during these times that we have an opportunity to showcase the strength and resilience that define us as a club.

I am fully committed to driving positive change and ensuring that we rise above this challenging period. We are already taking a critical look at our structures, strategies, and personnel to identify the areas where improvements can be made. Our board and coaching staff are actively engaged in discussions and planning sessions to rectify the shortcomings that have contributed to these disappointing results.

But we cannot do it alone. Each one of you, our valued members, plays an integral role in our journey towards success. Your unwavering support, passion, and loyalty are the lifeblood of this club. In times like these, your belief and encouragement can serve as a powerful motivator for our players and coaches.

Let us stand shoulder to shoulder, proud of our history, and unwavering in our commitment to the future. Together, we will rebuild, reinvigorate, and reclaim our rightful place among the elite teams of the AFL.

I genuinely believe that brighter days lie ahead for our great club. We have seen the Eagles soar to great heights before, and I am confident that with resilience, determination, and your unwavering support, we will rise again.

Thank you for your continued commitment to the West Coast Eagles. Together, let's write the next chapter of our remarkable story.

Yours faithfully,

Chairman, West Coast Eagles

I'm still at the Camfield when they do that huddle thing. Does that count?

May need to Tweet at Sir Swamp Thing and ask if any coach has ever survived conceding 200 points and losing by 150+ points before.

Matty Primus survived after 138pt loss and the next week a 165pt loss in 2011 im surprised Kane Cornes hasn’t mentioned anything about this in the last few weeks while he’s been trashing our club

Absolutely made my blood boil

"accepting a DEGREE of responsibility" - its not our fault, please don't be mad!

"senior players let us down" - on the weekend sure, what about who let us down with list management, fitness, etc etc !?

"all we can do is roll our sleeves up" - no, the club needs an independant external review

I thought it was the club that was only interested in money, you seem to think you are paying for an expensive netflix subscription. I want more entertainment for my money dammit.

My heart skipped a beat as I was hoping it was announcing his resignation. Nope load of crap and sounded like he was taking credit for the effort.

Nesbit has to go. Let's start a petition

Bit harsh?

He mostly talked about the fans and the young players - didn’t mention himself or anyone off field at all?

You can’t blame the club for trying to find some positivity in a spirited performance - it’s literally all we have right now.
