If you are like me, then you have probably watched the premierships, finals and home and away games (from 2017-2019) on repeat for the last five weeks straight since lockdown began, and while these triumphs were amazing, they can only keep us sane for so long. So if you need more to keep yourself going until footy returns, here are five classic Richmond games from before our recent success, that you should check out:

1. Round 17 2008- Richmond vs Brisbane (117 to 114): We were behind for most of the match but a late last quarter surge saw us erase a 25 point three quarter time defecit, with Joel Bowden slotting the match winning goal, with 20 seconds left

2. Round 10 2012- Richmond vs Stkilda (121 to 113): We lost a lot of close games that year... But this was not one of them. A high scoring contest with plenty of lead changes, saw us prevail by 8 points. Cotchin and Deledio starred while Riewoldt was Best on Ground with 8 goals

3. Round 9 2011- Richmond vs Essendon (105 to 89): Essendon had started the season in a blaze of glory and their onnoxious fans were salivating over the prospect of James Hird potentially leading them to premiership glory. Richmond on the other hand had a patchy start to the year, and were coming off a pretty disappointing loss against the Bulldogs. But despite the fact that Essendon were overhwelming favourites, Richmond prevailed in front of 75,000 people by 16 points, with Ty Vickery kicking the sealer from 50 metres out

4. Round 13 2008- Port Adelaide vs Richmond (123 to 126): In a high scoring game Richmond claimed back to back wins for the first time since 2006, with a hard fought three point win over Port Adelaide. A young Cleve Hughes was the difference, booting 6 goals, to help get us over the line by 3 points. If you thought that this was the beginning of a long and successful career at tigerland, you were wrong. Still it was a performance that I will never forget qnd a high scoring game for the ages

5. Round 14 2010- Richmond vs Sydney (89 to 85) We had shown some encouraging signs after a disastorous start to the year (in which we were expected to not win a single game), with some impressive wins against West Coast and Brisbane in recent weeks, but no one expected us to beat Sydney who were eying off a top four spot. But thanks to clutch goals from Jack Riewoldt and Chris Newman and an inspirational last 10 minutes from
Andrew Collins, that is exactly what we did
