We have to learn to win there at some point, but not having Freo at the G takes it from certain win to a pain in the arse. Let's hope the flying purple people eaters are just as shit as they always have been in Victoria...

Freo at Etihad is a massive bummer, and do we have to play Geelong down there every year? I suppose in some ways it is better than losing a home game too them, but it's so disheartening.

We have to win 3 out of 4 early games against Brisbane, Western Bulldogs, StKilda and Richmond at the to be any chance of finals.

If we win five of the first eleven games our season could well be set up. Take one or two wins out of round six to eleven, and be competitive in other games and we will have shown how far we've come in such a short space of time under Neeld. I have this feeling we could snag those five in the first eleven rounds, then seven more (quite achievable with the draw we have - no guarentees though given we were supposed to have a good draw last year) puts us into the finals.

We've done well again.

But how this competition expects to be taken seriously when the fixture is such a joke is beyond me.

I agree. It's farcical, but after the $€u££¥ saga I don't take the AFL seriously anyway.
