I'd be happy for them to play someone else on QB.

There was almost 87,000 people at Richmond Vs Carlton last year, Which was on a Thursday compared to the Friday night Geelong Vs Hawthorn grand final rematch at the MCG which only 69,500 fans came to see.It didn't work last year with Richmond v Carlton, and it certainly won't work again this year. As expected the best game of the round was the Grand Final rematch and it should have been the season opener too.
Haw v Ess rd 1, nothing surer..

Exactly how didn't Richmond vs Carlton work?
If the AFL were smart, yes.
Would sell out the MCG or Dome. Nothing surer.
Probably true, but I wouldn't be regarding even that as a certainty with the trend of recent fixturing. Each team will play each other at least once I hear.
22 games eh? thats a brave call

Fremantle host a ANZAC Day game against a victorian club.
BRENDAN Fevola's much-anticipated match-up with former side Carlton will take place as a round 2 Easter Thursday blockbuster at the Gabba.
The Carlton faithful will have to wait just a week into the 2010 season for clearly the most anticipated match of the season.
But while the Blues will be glad to take on Fevola's Lions early in the year and then move on, they will be without suspended captain Chris Judd.
A draft of the draw will go out to broadcasters at the end of this week, with clubs also to be given their schedule early next week before the official release on October 30.
I hope we cop the Blues in 1 of the first 3 rounds.
Some bloke on the Hawks board reckons Melbourne V's Hawthorn for rd 1.
I hope we play Carlton in round 1,2 or 3. Reason being is that Fev and Judd always kill us. We should handle Carlton (as most other clubs will) without those 2.
