I've heard that Collingwood play the first 22 games at the MCG!!!
Eddie is in discussions with Demetriou as we speak to try & extend home & away season to 26 games so that they can get another 4 at the MCG which will give them a more level playing field!!

I don't agree, that game will sell out any time in the first 4 or 5 weeks.
If the AFL were smart (and they are) they will leave some of these types of match-up's (ala Carlton v Brisbane in Melbourne) to later rounds to bump crowd figures up then.
Everyone already wants to go round 1, so you have maximised your crowds already.

I've also heard the Grand Final Rematch will not be in Round 1 and that we will only play the Saints once next year in the middle of the season. I'm also hearing something about it being at that dump Etihad.

If we don't get to play the Saints in Round 1 as a Home Game then we should at least get a Home Game at Kardinia Park in Round 1 to unfurl the flag.
We had to travel over to Feral Park in Round 1 of 2008, despite the fact we wanted to unfurl the Flag at home in Round 1.
And Hawthorn got to unfurl the flag at home in Round 1 this year, despite the fact we didn't get to last year. That's crap IMO.

I thought you'd want to wait until Round 4 before playing at Kardinia Park... That's when the new stand will be finished...
Geelong in fact has requested not to have a KP home match until Round 4.
