How about PM Rudd clapping Hodgey's goal? :)

Croady's hip and shoulder after breaking his foot was symbolic....whatever it takes!

My highlight was getting into the rooms after the game and congratulating all the boys. Roughie couldn't stand still, Changa and Junior were just as calm and relaxed as if they had just walked of the park after a bit of kick to kick and Crawf just had a look of pure relief.

Kissed a few premiership medals and they taste very sweet.

All of the highlights everybody else has mentioned PLUS

- Everything and anything Campbell Brown did on the day. God damn I love the way he plays football. There's that man love thing I have for him again!
- Getting to sing We Are The Champions after 10 renditions of "We're a Happy Team at Hawthorn"
- The entire week from training to the parade to the game to the Sunday at Glenferrie
- The class they all showed throughout the year and post the GF
- The flexibility in the game plan shown throughout: A mixture of hard running, precision, low-risk attack, smart defence and hard at it pressure throughout
- Oh and Youngy's massive goal: 75M easy

Did this really happen?

Cyril roving Buddy's ball to run into an open goal to put us 11 points up. It was the very moment I thought "Geez, we're gonna win the Flag"!

That's what i'm talking about!!!

Summed up Crawford's career with the Hawks and the time between '91 and '08 :thumbsu:.

I know i'll cop crap for saying it (not discounting Harvey and Buckley), but just hearing his name being called up and when walking up to the stage... it was the best feeling. As he put in the hard yards and experienced some up and down times at the Hawks over the years.... to finally achieve the ultimate team success - is a golden moment.

Just loved how every member played a role, from the players on the field, to the players off the field, the coaching staff and supporters willing the team home!

The ping pong bump of the Geelong player (can't remember who). Bang Mitch, bang Changa, bang some one else.

It was Mackie. Mitch misses with the flying elbow and then Changa comes in and goes whack. Huge bump. Then the balls spills to Selwood and Renouf comes in and goes whack. Huge bump.

Following this was tackle after tackle and a forced ball up in our forward 50. I thought JESUS we are intense. Knew right then, win or lose, we were leaving nothing out on the park.

The whole game was just sensational!! I'd have to say the triple gang tackle on matty stokes was probably my highlight! I think it was crawf, gilham and sewell from memory but boy it was lifting! I think a lot of Geelong players took notice of that and thought boy were in for a challenge!
Go Hawks!

Rioli's effort on the wing, Dew's five minutes in the third quarter and the tackle in the last that finally caught GA blett holding the ball - didn't think we'd ever see one of those !!

Yep, i'll go with that.

For amusing highlight i'll add Hodgey holding his arms up at the start of the game for Stokes to "test" him.

At one point some time in the 2nd half, deep in defence, Willo can in from the side to spoil a Geelong player from marking. It's the sort of thing you see Hodge and Brown do all the time, and I don't think he got crunched or anything like that, but I don't remember ever seeing Willo spoil, and to see him in the last line doing that really made it clear how every single player in the side was going to do everything they possibly could to win that game.

[edit] It was at 13:40 to go in the 3rd. I really shouldn't have brought the divx of the game in to work...

Three highlights in no particular order:

1. Start of the match. Hodge raising his arms to give the insipid Stokes a free shot at his ribs. Showed the hawks were not backing down from anything.

2. Rioli, on the wing beating three Geelong players. Depicted the will and determination set by the Hawks to give it their all.

3. Croad breaking his foot, knowing he is done for the day, switches on and tries to take out the nearest Geelong player.

So many more highlights, but these three stood out for me.

I was at the game so didn't notice this, however I bought the dvd yesterday and watched it, this made my man crush on luke hodge multiply by one hundred! It showed stokes that he coudn't hurt us, and he taunted stokes by almost laughing at him after he took the free shot, I am in awe of hodge's toughness!

I have a couple. :D

- Dews 2 goals in the Third. Superstar.
- Cyrils goal in the Third. Simple yet huge.
- Oh this ones a classic.. Youngs goal from 70m out. :thumbsu:
- Cameron Mooney missing before half time.
- "Thats What I'm Talking About!"
- The Final Siren
- The lifting of the cup... I get teary thinking of it..
- Hodgey getting the Norm Smith.

my personal moment .......

Near the front at fed square singing the song with the boys.

The poise shown by all the players , particularly Cyril Rioli , in their first GF. Our accurate kicking for goal which changed the momentum of the game, Stewie Dew's cameo , Youngy's bomb, Mitch on the left boot.

For me the highlight was the Hodge goal from outside 50. Was obvious to the world that he was cruising around for the handball receive and Geelong made no effort to put any pressure on. Saw the writing on the wall for the Cats then and a nice little collect at the TAB for me.

Go you mighty f****ng Hawks.
