I don't know if it's just my office, but noone is talking about the NRL GF. You wouldn't even know it was on. I've asked most of the guys what they are doing on Sunday and it's all shrugs and "probably watch it, but don't really care who wins" type stuff.

Last year at least there was some interest, some streamers up, some bagging and bragging with the Wests supporters etc

Melbourne's probably the same for AFL people - bloody national comps

Nope, Melbourne is pretty much like normal. My office is covered in Red and White (not even my doing for once!!!!) and even a few people have brought in Storm posters and colors and put them up so both GF's have got a fair run in my office at least. Shop windows our decked out in club colors like normal and I even did my Mum's shop window up in Red and White (and put my Storm scarf in there as well). I expect tomorrow the CBD to go off with the parade and everyone in town for Sydney and Perth. I guess thats where Sydney misses out in a way.

To be honest, couldn't care one little bit for what's happening in Thhhhydney. Or for the RL supporters that live there.

On the other hand, where I am, the whole thing is making me hot in the trouser.

It does feel pretty flat... Maybe i've choosen to ignore it but i haven't even seen much Swans hype (Besides the "Official papers of the Swans" Tele) and merchandise around.

Oh well... Everyone will watch it but probably aren't to happy a Sydney team isn't in it. Bring on the Tri-Nations i say :D

I'm looking forward to the GF and there has been a heap of hype around here but of course there is not going to be as much when the teams are Melbourne and Brisbane. The supporters are 1,000km away and we don't have some loser fans from where the club was originally located, cause these clubs have always been from there respective areas.

But as you said, Leb, bring on the Tri-Nations. Australia to win!

Nah mate, Melbourne is awesome at the moment...can't wait for the GF and loved the parade today and the chants and general feeling around the city.

My team's never in it anyway so I just soak up the atmosphere. The NRL GF is more of a TV thing.

Ahhh, yeah. You obviously aren't from Sydney. Granted there aren't streamers and the like because the local teams are playing but there is still much more excitement about the Melbourne/Brisbane GF in Sydney then there is for the Swans GF. As I keep saying, the Swans supporters are made from those in there golden years and homosexuals (and they keep to themselves most of the time).

And just for the record, the TV ratings will show that I am right.
