What a joke, Fletcher being reported for touching an umpire. The Umpire Matthew Head tripped over himself Fletcher hardly touched him.

Anyways, to comemorate the tragic affair we've got a new game, The Umpire Head Game.

I think it was a discrase to see a player get reporting for interfering with an umpire.
there were 2 other similar incedents earlier in the year, its just pethetic, AFL is becoming more and more like netball each year.
It does rule, in the rule book that if u touch an umpire u get a free kick against you

The report is a joke but Fletcher HAS to be suspended for 2 weeks.How can Fletcher get off yet Curley gets suspended ?

I watched the incident again last night & feel that it was up to Fletcher to avoid the ump, who had just bounced the ball & was running backwards, which is what they are required to do, to give the players in front of him room to get to the ball. A Freo player was running towards him to try & get to the ball, while Fletcher was running in from behind him, the ump was sandwiched, what was he supposed to do, it was up to Fletcher to avoid the contact, therefore I can't see how anyone can say it is a joke of a report.
