and thats being mild. I was gonna start it 'Sh1t, sh1t, sh1t, sh1t'
Why did Parra pick the last game of the year to have a shocking 1st half? Gotta give credit to Newcastle, they had us on the back foot from the start. Good effort from the boys to come back in the 2nd half but the damage was done.

Thanks, Newcastle, for wrecking a perfect long weekend.  Now, I have to dive for cover from all the Essendon suppoters I was giving stick to on Sat. night.

The weird thing was I wasn't nervous before the game, I'm usually a wreck, convincing myself that anything that can go wrong, will. I should have known that was a bad sign straight away. Ah well, they're a young side, I hope they've learnt a few things for next year. Feel sorry for JT, it would have been good to send him out on a high.

Get 'em next year, Parra. 2002.

To sum it up...... Bugger.

The final score flattered us, we were hammered in the first half and only gained some respectability when Newcastle got bored and decided to start toying with us (at least that is what it felt like)

3 straight prelim finals losses and a grand final loss. Makes you wonder just how hungry the team is - Some of us in the stands are pretty bloody starved!!!

I hate crashing out of the finals - 2nd time in 3 weeks I'm hanging up the scarf till march.

Guys....don't get despondent.......

The Eels had a real shocker......the worst for the year........these things just happen.
I am sure they will be much the wiser and experienced next year, and I am sure will be in the big one again.

The Knights were fantastic tonight.....what a first half.

Storm had a G/F bash at the Crown Casino All Sports Bar and everyone had a ball (ALL EXCEPT X-BOX-X --TAKE NOTE TRIS..)
Apart from the Storm fans, there were heaps of Parra and Knights supporters there........but it did seem that the under-dog was the favourite in the room.

I picked the Knights by 8 on the Storm BB...so I was quite close...should have had a bet!!

The Eels had a great year so try and take some solace from that!!:)

Ms Storm, that's easy to say from someone who has seen their side win a premiership ;-)

I'm just happy that I've been at a grand final barracking for one of my teams. Never mind the heart-rending queasiness that accompanied the 1st half!!! And the dull hurt in the second half associated with wondering why the team couldn't have turned up and scored some points earlier!

Well, onward and forward....

i am just DEVESTATED ...... . ALL Season i was being taunted by my Sydney mates that Parra looked good but just wait 'till they choke ........... BASTARDS are having a field day with me now!!!!!!

EELS WHY OH WHY :(

What a great game to watch. I was especially happy becuase I had a little something on the Knights to win under 12.5 points.
Andrew Johns, what a great player, I did not realise how good he is. I was also impressed with that big bloke Kennedy. I also enjoyed watching it on a Sunday night. Think they should keep that going.

Parra were not that bad in the first half. They weren't that good either but to say Parramatta had a shocker in the first half is an insult to Newcastle who probably played the greatest half of football ever seen in a Grand Final. And that is what it took to beat Parra this season. The Greatest half ever.
The fact that Parra rebounded in the second half is a positive sign for next season. I can't see anyone stopping us next season.

Devo, Newcastle played magnificently in the first half, especially Ben Kennedy, however how many dropped balls , missed tackles, bad passes, missed tries did the EELS have in the first half? Parra contributed to there own demise, and i have another year of choker taunts to live with :(

Newcastle SUCK

Must have been a good batch of steriods circulating Newcastle last week.....
