Game end
Thanks everyone for playing. I've learnt some lessons (don't post a game on Saturday night, many beers deep the main one). There were some missteps and I think whilst the format had some positives there was no clear way to end the game, and it devolved into something I hadn't intended.

The end game was a farce, and there was some disagreement in flog purgatory to end it on luck (consensus was everyone should lose - not just the mod).

Anyway, congratulations to por_please_ya from Quantum Quokkas who guessed white.

Commiserations to BEaston and AnUltimateRessie who both went black.

More thoughts soon.

I think you need some kind of common enemy. Aside from one’s survival, there was no in game reason to kill or lynch anyone. With no inherently evil presence, there’s no real need to trick anyone or lie about what you are and as MBR said in the dead PM it just becomes paper scissors rock.

Plus themes just make things more interesting in general. I know it takes more work as a mod but you end up with way more interesting games imo.

A good experiment nonetheless.

That was fun and a bit nuts to read in the end Nothing and thanks for hosting!
Sorry to my teammates for messing up, eth-dog was on the brink of death and played magnificently.

Thanks everyone. I think mostly, there were fun elements and there was a chance for some deception and usual WWing.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback on improvements - particularly around the last few phases. I'm not sure this solution chosen was the best, but it was the choice made so we live with it.

I don't think I'd look to host a version of this again, but I'd be interested in other views on what could be improved. In my opinion, end game and lynches the two big hurdles to it being fun and fair. I wonder whether groups of 3 would have been better (it probably still doesn't solve the end game issues). Another thought I had was it is a kill each night and the 3 rotating actions are seer, protect and RB. That would remove the stalemate that occurred on nightly deaths.

The stand outs for me were:
3 - BEaston who put in a lot of effort to work out game mechanics and allegiances. Made some missteps but also saved The Maj from the lynch without raising suspicion.
2 - eth-dog despite being sick had a major influence on the game trying to organise multi-lynches.
1 - DERO who created a suitable amount of chaos, with the Bomber alliance then throwing members under the bus, without a second thought. A self-protect on N1 made a big difference.

HM to Gralin and MC Bad Genius who worked hard on the mechanics early, it would have been interesting if they had made it further in the game.

Thanks for running Nothing

UP THE QUOKKAS!

Love riding the coat tails of my team to victory!
The right thing to do would be hand the victory over to Beasty and our team for reasons stated above.
😊🥂
