Think I heard Tiger was voted worst airline in the world.

Mate of mine booked a flight to Melb. The pilot called in sick. Delayed the flight for 10 hours. Tiger offered each passenger a voucher for a free coffee as compensation...

Lucky dip airline.

Qantas had a flight delayed by many hours. Got a $20 airport food voucher when I dropped the bags off and thought "Oh that's good". Went up to the food area and because it was Perth and Sunday everything was ****ing shut except a shitty fish and chips stand in the middle

Flying in business class for the first time next year to and from the US. Looking forward it but it'll probably make normal flying feel even more annoying :$

I flew from Los Angeles to Brisbane in business class about a month ago. It was very comfortable but unfortunately was on the 747 rather than the A380 or 787.

Service on the night flight was minimal but would be a better experience on the flight to the US I would imagine.

We were considering business class for our flight to Japan but it's probably a bit shit of us to do it with a toddler :(

Also get the feeling that OP just clicked the wrong month

I have never had any issues with Tiger at all. In fact, the only airline I've ever had any problem with is Qantas, who lost my baggage.

This. On a trip to the USA out of Sydney LAX. How could you **** that up?

I'm not sure if you're paying full price or not since you're in the industry, but if you were, is it worth the extra dollars to you?

Is it? More room for them to stretch out, if they're being a pain in economy it's right in your neighbour's face.

OP confuses me. 4th Jan and 4th May aren't even the same day of the week. Did the booking change from Thursday 4/1/18 to Friday 4/5/18?

I've had no issues with Tiger, Virgin, Jetstar etc. flying domestically. Perth to Melbourne is 4 hours give or take, and I can amuse myself for that amount of time. Most of the domestic route planes are much of a muchness so the difference in comfort is minimal to me. If it's $400 for a return trip to Melbourne on a budget airline compared to $800 to fly Qantas and get a meal I'll rough it and pocket the $400 difference thanks. I'm more concerned about timing than choice of airline. **** taking a late taxi, flying the red eye and getting no sleep then needing a 6am taxi to save $50.

I don’t know what full price would be but I wasn’t impressed with the lack of drink service, comparing to the flight over in premium economy where we couldn’t have been serviced better.

There was a lack of presence in the cabin for the duration of the business flight, probably due to the timing. I’d prefer to judge a day flight before giving a yes/no but for what I paid it was brilliant.

I loved being able to lay flat and had the most comfortable flight of my life. I will hate flying economy again, and hope I never have to lol

Never flown Tiger. Being in Canberra low cost airlines aren't rreally an option. Jetstar don't fly here at all and Tiger one trip to Melbourne in the middle of the say. Most of my flights require connections and the low cost airlines are strict point-to-point; if they are late on your first flight they take no responsibility about you missing your next one (I think the law changed so they have to do something these days).

Only ever had big delays (over 2 hours) with Qantas/QantasLink. Baggage going AWOL, four times Qantas, once Virgin - always connections. The Virgin one took 24 hours as my bag went Canberra-Melbourne-Darwin-Perth-Melbourne-Launceston instead of Canberra-Melbourne-Launceston.

That said, I've probably flown Qantas more so it is no surprise I have had more issues with them. The ratio wouldn't be to that extent though.

The couple of times I've flown Jetstar have been fine. Only short haul flights though.

I dunno I just figured since it's so expensive the passengers will be more pissed off if a two year old is noisy on the flight. I could be wrong, in which case I'll happily fly business!

Yeah, but **** them.

Maybe they will, but there will be less pissed off people in earshot than in economy. They didn't pay for child-free flight, so **** 'em.

Personally, after a few bad experiences, I'd pay extra for alcohol free flights. Drunk pensioners are far worse than crying babies.

They can take it up with the airline, not you.

There's no going back to the farm once you've seen Paree! Although the little economy cabins some of the A380s have on their upper decks are good.

The attitude of the modern parent.
I don't have kids, good chance I never will. People are so precious on flights, the entitlement annoys me.

I enjoy a few drinks, depending on the time of day a sleeping pill, and just crash. I hate alcohol free flights.
