You know damn well that’s a chasm of difference between consenting adults and kids/animals. Ship off with the shit trolling.
It is soooooo obvious that people only 40 years ago though it should be illegal. It seems like people change over time and what you think is ok today might be considered bigoted tomorrow . May be best to base your beliefs in something other than the law if you want to be consistent over time. Someone who applies your logic 40 years ago would be bigoted today just as likely your views will be in 40 years .

Seriously? Lol that’s even funnier

Oook then

Yes.

If you are promoting something that is against your employers views and you are doing it while being attached to the employer then it is absolutely up to the employer if they want to keep you on.

Just as if your employer is up to no good and you don't want to be associated with them you can walk.

Freedom.

Which part of this is against reality? Or you don't know....

If you are employed by a company you would of signed not only a HR form but also a social media policy. I've done so in every job I've been in. (Obviosly the social media one is more recent than the HR).

I’ve said nothing about it been based in law so go strawman elsewhere.

He his free to say anything he likes but he can expect to be held accountable for his comments.

He may choose to believe in some fractured fairy tale and thats ok but to tell someone who is gay that they are sinners and are going to hell is just blind arrogance.

Are any of the gay people religious or are others offended on their behalf?

I have been a fornicator, I've been drunk plenty of times, I've told lies and I'm an atheist and an isolated in my younger days so I tick 5 of his 7 boxes. Am I meant to be offended?

What a lot of pissweak people we've become. Can he have a go back at them under freedom of religion laws?

How old were you 40 years ago? I can tell you many if not most people, never considered homosexuality wrong or immoral then either, despite whatever laws you are referring to. I'm not sure why you've made this your fight.

It is a fact that in the past laws were made to make homosexuality illegal. It is a fact that in most places today it is not illegal. Why did people think it was bad then and ok now? Do you have a non simple reason? If not you are ignorant about the topic .

So the legal definitions of kid and animals hasn't changed since law was created? You use terms like they are static when they change all the time legally.

I’m not tipping into an argument with an obvious troll point being used to derail a thread.

Enjoy ****ing your dog though (when it’s legal of course :thumbsu:)

He has been sacked.

Rightfully so.

disgraceful....................he was preaching his religious beliefs. have you read 1984? familiar with wrongthink? disgusting. and here you are celebrating the loss of our liberties one by one

if he gets the sack for this, it's a ******* disgrace

It’s really a very simple equation. Many organisations have a code of conduct and a social media policy. I’m sure his employer has both. I think it’s also a safe assumption he broke both. Case closed. ARU completely within their rights to sack him.

Why would you be? When have you faced societal discrimination in pretty much every aspect of life because you've drunk? Or because you told a lie?

Lol, he signed a contract saying he wouldn't say what he said, copped a warning for a it a year ago and then did it again. His employer can do what they want. Rightfully so.

What liberties have been broken? The government hasn’t arrested him for re-education. His employer has sacked him for breaching contract.

Far cry from 1984 or thought police.

He seems to forget two things.

1. He is a public figure who represents an organisation which relies on sponsors.
2. The main sponsor is an inclusive organisation named qantas which supports gay rights. His contract would also specify limitations on his freedom off speech, like offending others . Standard clauses for a public figures.

Did the employees of QANTAS actually get a say on whether they are an inclusive organisation or did their gay CEO make that decision for them and they all just shut their mouths for fear of losing their jobs?

hounded down by the mob for two days, his livelihood stripped from him. for what? having an opinion on something? He didn't say **** gays, or lets kill gays, he said something which is in his holy book

I'm not even christian or religious. Any intelligent person should be able to see why this is bullshit

The consequences should start and end with people thinking, **** Israel Folau he doesn’t like gays

The consequences for Israel should be relative to the damage his comments have done.

The ARU have clearly been told by their major sponsor 'either he goes or we do'. The ARU could stand by Israel, but clearly he's less valuable to them than their association with QANTAS, so the consequence of his action is the termination of his employment.
