Watching the team evolve over the last few weeks, couldnt help thinking that how sharp would our FL look with the inclusion of a certain player who retired last year...with the way the ball is coming in now and Jack being a real deep option, cant help thinking Nathan Brown might have retired a couple of seasons to early. Just putting it out there dudes.;)

hmm, Im kinda thinking there is room for MM to be back in the side, JR8 was being double teamed at times, MM should be able to have a field day under the circumstances

Much as I loved watching him play, he..

a) Never came back the same from his leg break (pray Barlow has no complications)

b) Is too old to be in our next premiership window and only takes up the spot of a young gun such as Collins or Nason

c) Screwed his groin badly last season and, by his own admission made it far worse during rehab by trying to do a one handed pushup for a girl (he is just my favourite kind of awesome)

That said, again, I friggin love him haha

Didn't see Brown and haven't seen Morton yet with huge defensive games, mind you it shits me every time I see Higgins and think he could be the outside goal kicking mid we are looking for !!

Yeah during the 3rd I was getting worked up a bit about the 3rd man coming over JR and thinking stop just banging it ****ing long. But I feel as though people getting to worried about JR being like Fev was for Carlton but I personally think completely different.

JR has 2 strings he can play from square or at CHF as he did Vs BL and his worst is no where near as bad as Fevs so I don't think its such an issue. On Browny... not for mine his time was up.

its cool dude, we did a number on them with Cameron we then did another number on them with Browny. Lets face it, we have a good sell factor when luring prospect over from that team. Give it a couple of years, let us get set up and when and if we need him, they will be on the slide and we can pounce. ;)

Yep, let's get Brown back and piss off Nason, we don't need him...

Seriously, Brown was finished. Injury prone and lost all of his magic. He was a star but his career was finished (possibly prematurely due to injury, but finished nonetheless).

Doubt Browny would fit in with DH, he was never a team orientated player either dogs or tiges. He lacked any defensive side to his game and was better suited to footy in the last decade than today. He was more interested in outside running and screw snap kicks across the body than looking for options first ................ could be why Mitch is running around with the Burgers?

I trust when Mitch has worked on the facets of his game that DH thinks need improving he will again return. Good on this coach for doing the hard yards with fellows such as Mitch and McMahon etc. I reckon a couple of our recent past coaches would have succumb to media pressure by now and playing them.

Brown - Higgins
McMahon - Callan Ward
Wallace 5 years
I think they've screwed us.

Higgins was drafted two years after the Brown trade. We gave the Bulldogs pick 6 which was traded for Lachlan Veale as part of the Rawlings deal, and pick 20 (which we got for Ben Holland) which they on-traded for Peter Street.
