Personal privacy -- it's no-one else's business
I agree with both of you, I think.
I think we should not stigmatise mental illness
But the fact that mental illness is unmentionable contradicts our desire to not stigmatise it.
But if I had a mental health issue, I wouldn’t want everybody to know.
The stigma is alive and well in me. 😕

Perhaps it depends on what type and seveirity of mental illness it is.
Depression or anxiety managed at home is different to admission to hospital for a major psychotic episode.
A bit like having gastro or tonsilitis compared to pancreatic cancer.

Then as BrainOfMorbius says, there's the need for personal privacy.whch does vary considerably from person to person.
Some people choose to publicise their health challenges (including mental and addiction) while others prefer to keep health matters private.

4) This young Lion has given the Lions a good problem

Brisbane moved Jaspa Fletcher to half-back when Brandon Starcevich went down with his latest concussion and, right now, he's making a case to stay there. Fletcher was terrific on Saturday, combining defensive surety with attacking penetration through both his run and his kicking ability. He finished with 23 disposals, 10 marks, three intercept marks and 440m gained, while he also kicked a superb running goal to cap perhaps his best afternoon in Lions colours. Already a capable winger, Fletcher is relishing his new defensive move. Will he stay there when Starcevich returns? – Riley Beveridge

4) This young Lion has given the Lions a good problem

It really puts into focus why Fagan was so keen years ago to have players know and be able to play multiple positions. Permanent moves recently like Zorko to DEF from HF, Jaspa to DEF from Wing, and McKenna as a small forward, have allowed us to be okay when missing a star player. You can even see it during games when Fages switches the positions of players up.

No Joe, no worries!

When Joe Daniher called time on his illustrious career following the Lions’ triumphant Grand Final victory in 2024, a notable gap formed within Chris Fagan’s forward half army.
Down their number one forward option who was instrumental in Brisbane’s September run, it was hard to picture just how the Lions forward line would take shape in their title defence.
Now at five wins from five, Fagan’s men have silenced any doubters, proving week in and week out that Brisbane remain the team to beat in 2025.
After the Western Bulldogs blew out to a five-goal lead at half time, the Lions kicked a ridiculous 14 goals in the second half to nail a come-from-behind victory for the fourth time in five games.
With Eric Hipwood, Logan Morris and Zac Bailey combining for 12 goals in the contest, the Lions became just the second side behind the Crows to have three or more players with double digit goals on the season.
Further adding to their phenomenal start, the Lions’ 14 goal-per-game average exceeds their average of 13 a game from their premiership season.
The challenge that Fagan faced entering the year has proved to be a strength. Consider these first five games a warning for what could certainly be the second coming of a historical Lions dynasty.

Dom will be over the moon with the form of Zac. Zac seems more involved with the Lions social team with smiles a plenty.

Just got back from SA. Never went to a game. 3 x 65+ brothers in one's man cave shed with a 65" TV and a beer fridge. The atmosphere down there was amazing. Everyone we saw (we did get out of the shed at times) reckons it belongs in SA.

Talked to a close mate of Freo's recruiting boss at Lachie's time - Scott Clayton? - and he told me the gospel of why Lachie left. After a Freo loss, Ross Lyon ripped into one of the young blokes. Turned away, then turned back and started on him again - got personal. Lachie said "that's enough Ross, he has got your point". Ross went at Lachie -"you don't talk to me like that, etc". After the meeting, Lachie walked into Scott's office and said "that is it - I am out of here - work out a deal if you can, but I am gone".

I have heard that he also loved pitting Lachie and Nat Fyfe against each other which wasn't good for either of them or their relationship at the time.

Sooo satisfying knowing what was to follow...

I might have been on that bus or another one that day. I remember when we got to Melbourne a crew got onboard to feel some b-roll too.
