The future of sport (according to insurance companies). At least they can bring back the biff ;)

What I get from that vision is there's a long way to go before robots can move like poetry in motion as elite human athletes do and a long long long way from sex robots.

I'm pretty sure I saw an attempted trip, a push in the back and a stacks on the mill. As for sex robots mine is actually quite um....oh.....crap......um..... hey look over there!

Apparently Swany rocked up to his first day in AFL house and asked where his office was... the response was that everyone hot desks including him.

Absolutely wild if true. Senior AFL exec hot desking... like wtf.

Anyway apparently his response was " yeah, no that's not how this is going to work".

Hope he wields a lot of power in that place and whips that organisation into shape.

Forgive this boomer’s question…
What is a hot desk?

Yet most people sit at the same desks every day ironically and rarely would one find someone at “their” desk.
Half the time you end up with nutters complaining about you sitting at "their" desk

That’s like everyone knows where “my” seat is in the staff room, at lunch time. Except for those pesky interns.
Just because it's got labels stuck all over it with trade suggestions and snippets from Rookie Central... :P

Did Judd and Co pay for this?
2x return return compared to market average, market at ATH and wanting to raise capital. Someone at Channel 9 probably has some financial interest in this company.

I understand it was open office rather than hot desk arrangement. Swany got his office.

Nice work by Barrett pushing Chief's standing as the best KPD in the league at this time of year:

Surely Harris gets the AA jacket after the debacle of him being overlooked last year.

It would be funny, this is Harris' worst season since 2021-22 when he was hampered a bit by nagging injuries. He's basically either been awesome or really poor (by his very high standards).

Helped by all the other KPDs being pretty average this year.

Really no standouts. Keane and Worrell could get the lockdown and third tall and Andrews the intercept

I’m so very glad that I’m retired.
I've been hot desking for a few years now. Checked out my super balance a few weeks ago and I must say retirement looks as a very attractive proposition within 5 years when I turn 60

Question on the last touch rule when it obviously will come in next year; does that mean if say Harris when defending a marking a contest punches the ball, like all defenders do when a ball is being kicked forward and it then goes OOB, even outside the 50m arcs, it will be a free to the attacking team?

If that is the case, I just find that absurd and makes defenders job even harder than what it already is.
can anyone give some insight to how it is adjudicated in SANFL who have had it for a number of years. I'm guessing they will just adjust as they do for every other rule change.

It is a very misleading catchphrase to the rule in AFLW & SNAFL
Better to call it last disposal out of bounds
I don't think it is an obvious in for next year even though i think it should be considered.

First thing is it only applies between the 2 fifty-meter arcs
Second it only applies to a kick and a handball accidental or not.
Thirdly if the ball is touched by any player irrespective of which team it is, a throw in as usual.
If not touched a free is awarded to the opposite team that kicked or handballed the ball out of bounds.

EDIT: Below from the AFLW site

Last disposal between the arcs

If the ball goes out of bounds between the forward and defensive 50m arcs as a result of a kick or handball, the opposing team will receive a free kick where the ball crossed the line. If it is not clear who touched the ball last, it is thrown in. This rule was introduced to reduce congestion and secondary stoppages.

According to SEN’s Tom Morris, Ugle-Hagan was outside Love Machine nightclub in Prahran with a friend when the incident occurred.

It’s been reported that Ugle-Hagan’s friend became involved in a verbal altercation with another group before a fight broke out, and a gun was fired.

I'm a big fan of the AFLW last disposal rule. Removes so much ambiguity and a heap of stoppages.

"Insufficient intent" one of the worst laws They've ever brought in - and there's a mighty big list to choose from.
