2 - Brisbane​

“Brisbane are my number two. Back-to-back premiers, best team in the comp. Every Gabba game, the grandstands are full, and you can feel the atmosphere coming through the TV.
“We know all of their players; we know their players and their coach like old friends. They play a great brand of footy, and they are going to be at the top-end again.”

Is the draw based on home and away rating rather than end of finals position???

I'd assume end of finals position.

It's probably never going to happen, but in the unlikely scenario where a team wins the grand final after finishing fifth on the ladder, you would expect that they are such an awesome team that the AFL will hand them the hardest fixture in history to ensure they don't go back to back...

But seriously, for the crom, it will matter little, regardless if you rank them as minor premiers or eliminated after their pathetic straight sets drubbings, they will still be considered top 6. So their draw will be significantly harder than this years, as they finished 4th last in 2024.

They'll still get their two games against Port next year though, and the additional home game for gather round. A decent leg up there.

Considering the author I expected Geelong, but I will concede that to his credit he dropped off on the Geelong adulation since all the Bailey Smith / Chris Scott drama (and silence from the AFL).

I have a 2024 Premiership pack which has a Blue Ray disc of the Grand Final. The best bit is that you can have some one than that moronic commentary from BT.

Why doesn't the DVD discs have this feature? Can you get Blue Ray discs of all our finals with alternative commentary for last year and the same this year?

The DVDs don’t have this feature because they just didn’t include it. My 2001-2003 Grand Final DVDs have alternative commentaries so it can be done.

The only blu-rays you can obtain are of the Grand Finals themselves.

Will Ashcroft does it well. He mostly looks like he is leaning to avoid a tackle but of course gets hit high.
But we are by no means the worst team.

Bailey definitely a serial offender. To the point that I wince every time he blatantly does it.

Would not have picked Fletcher or Dunkley as duckers.

I know a lot of opposition supporters accuse Will of ducking.

Bailey sure. No denying that one and I don't like that he does it.

Previously Bailey got caught regularly 3 & 2 years ago but still tried to improve in this area and he has.

I hope they both keep it up but with an early release if things go south.
Will has the fastest hands i have seen for a long time and i think he will be able to assess the new situation and dispose of the ball correctly.
Bailey is much slower in this area, and it may be a problem, but i would still like to see him take the tackle on when he feels it is worth the risk

You wouldn't want it completely out of his game because that is part of his x-factor. He has given us some incredible moments when he has taken on the tackler whether it be through trying to force his way through or evade the tackler.

Bailey also drops at the knees or gathers the ball and drives low, leading with his head. Definitely plays for frees in the forward 50.

Plenty of injuries throughout. Part luck, part conditioning to my untrained eye. Think him focusing on fitness and conditioning instead of a holiday lends itself to my thoughts around his conditioning.
