Did anyone else notice the 'PRE' before the clock on the eastern end scoreboard during the game against Carlton? I've never noticed that before. What does it mean?

I noticed it (during the 4th quarter), but I don't know what it meant. It seemed to revert to "4Q" (or something like that) - could have just been an operator error?

Here's one that may well be my imagination....(or excitement of a win)

I thought the countdown clock showed 4secs to go when the siren went in the last qtr.

The play iirc was heading down the opp end and I was jumping up and down hoping we'd stop them getting another goal (didn't matter if they had, but..) I thought with 4 secs to go there was time to at least mark it and perhaps kick for that goal after the siren, but the siren went what seemed to be as soon as I noticed the 4secs...

Not important in the scheme of this game, but could be in another one ie MOG type games.

then again, maybe I was drunk!:p

wasn't, don't drink..;)

I was asked to be involved in this ... but I value my hands, legs, arms tendons and muscles far too much. Great idea though.
The bassist in my band is participating. I don't value his hands, legs, arms, tendons or muscles much at all, and thus strongly support the concept. Unfortunately I'm away for the weekend, but I reckon it'll be a heap of fun.

Anyone have tips on how to get decent reserved seats at the Gabba via the Ticketmaster website? We're members, but the people we're going with aren't and was trying to get top tier seats. Ticketmaster keeps giving me the same bay every single time. Tried different browsers, home, work, but section 75 every time.

If it was just the wife and I we'd go GA. But others want reserved upstairs.

Click the 'Buy on Map' tab next to and instead of the 'Find seats for me' tab. I have noticed this tab doesn't always show up. On my Mac I can get it to display if I use Firefox or Opera but not always on Chrome or Safari for some reason.

I don't seem to get tnat option when going through the members section and entering our barcodes.

I can get it if I'm willing to pay full price through the GA section however.

Ok sorry, I misunderstood. I'm not sure how to help. Put in a call to the membership team I guess.

Actually I unlike this. I 100% believe Selwood will be cactus by 50, but those figures show that the risk is probably right down the chain. You'd think amateur level players must also be high risk.

I firmly believe the risk for teenagers on field is less than the risk of the party scene, however with this info I wouldn't mind if my son discovers chess as the ultimate competition soon. and I know his reaction to that statement would get me a few days off.

Some rare riveting stuff on SEN this morning, Justin Leppitsch was on and was asked the question what did he learn from his head coach role at the Lions if he gets another go.

1) I was too though on the young guys.
2) Know when to shut up and when to talk.
3) Take the stress out of the game, let them play with a sense of fun.
4) Don't try to control everything.

Also not out and out admitted it but he knew he lost the playing group was the vibe I got, players not engaging in discussions, not doing extras at training just their general demeanor.

Very impressed with his insight and openness. Good on him.

What is a shame is that Leppa started off with a sense of fun and an intent to build a supporting, learning environment. That was really obvious, particularly in his first year.

When coaching young men, particularly when you are not all that old yourself, finding the balance between coach/mate/father-figure/disciplinarian is really tough. Maybe he was too much of a mate at first and then over-corrected.
