We did it at the end of the first as well, Essendon does love a red time goal (conceded).

When he surprised the Dogs defender by sneaking up behind him annd dispossessed him after taking a mark I thought ‘ahh good, Weid has his head in the game’. Problem was that although he created a disputed ball, he casually walked away from the contest with his back turned to play as the Dogs defenders outnumbered us and exited their defensive 50 anyway. This is what turns fans off you very quickly.

Tsatas needs to stay in the vfl doing this and keep getting better. Until opportunity comes from injury to one of our prime mids. Much better than playing in the ones in some crappy role like wing. Playing very well. Roberts is a natural footballer.

I wasn't sure if Archie Roberts was quite ready but after the first half showing I think he's not too far off it.

He has some natural aggression and willingness runs hard both ways.

He's not really even flying at the footy with intent anymore, even if he wasn't holding them he would jump at them.

Looks like a player going through the motions, I might be reading too much into it but I could see him not playing out the year at this rate.

He had a golden opportunity about 15 out with his defender absolutely shot, all he had to do was make a strong jump at the footy and he either marks it or it’s a clear front on free kick and he did neither the just wandered off after the ball as it rolled out, and kicked it into the fence for good measure.

Looks absolutely finished.

I am struggling to work out what the plan is with the VFL . They have basically gutted the list again and all the guys that got to 30 odd games experience are gone and we are back to two or three experienced guys and a bunch of blokes who have played 0 to 5 VFL games.
Not sure it helps us develop our blokes along side developing VFL blokes.
There may be some good players amongst them but they are too raw right now.
