knowing our approach we would go after Daniher, would be devastating for our premiership chance to pick up another injury prone key piece! Cameron on the other hand would be a great prospect. Not sure we have the cap space for him, presumably wouldn’t have to trade for him if he is unsigned.

We need to offload Beams as a priority.

Been saying that for Years.

No Chance of Getting Cameron he will stay at GWS and Danhier go to Swans and he is Very Injury Prone and don't need another Injury Proned Player

Bringing in Cameron or Daniher would cost us DeGoey or Moore, however as TradeDraft says neither are a chance to be at Collingwood. Daniher is a huge talent, but he's shaping as one who will never fulfill it consistently. Aside from injuries I also question where his head is at; does he want it enough, will a move out of the Melbourne spotlight help?

Unfortunately we don’t have the $ required to go after anyone of note.

If we want mature age and not relying on draftees;

- Tom Boyd
- Paddy McCartin

anyone else?

Ben Brown was my optimal target, but I think he re-signed?

If we offload Cox, and resolve these Beams issue. That’s getting close surely?! We go into season 2021 with one less player on the list...

probably can’t afford either

Not sure what Peter Wrights contract status is - might be another one in the affordable category
Peter Wrights contract status is "sign me up muppets to a long & lucrative contract."

Wright has 2 years left (OOC 2022)

Both of the players mentioned will cost far too much, why don’t we look to the state leagues if it’s imperative to a premiership EG:

Tyler KEITEL
24 y/o
196cm
94kg
95 games
125 goals
Won the goalkicking in 2018

OR, We back in Cox to hit his peak, he’s played 60 games which is about right to really start delivering consistently,
We also have a developing Will Kelly who could be anything and Darcy Cameron who could be anything, I don’t buy in to these doomsayers, NO we don’t have a “traditional” Full Forward but our versatility is better than ANY traditional set ups.

In saying that, I think we really missed one when we let Jake Riccardi go to GWS, was very confusing on draft night

Would’ve loved us to make a play at Mitch Lewis before he re-signed at Hawthorn last year.

Reckon we try and improve our draft hand and try and get our hands on a player like Riley Thilthorpe or at worst a Jackson Callow from tassie

What’s the status of Ben King at Gold Coast?

A native Victorian, 6 feet 8, number 6 draft pick who is a key forward with 10 more years left in him.

Surely that’s what we are after.

Wright would be a mistake. He doesn’t have what it takes imo.

Seems to be lacking tricks to his game as well as the grunt and anger of the best kpfs. Is a one trick pony lead up in space type which any fwd can play of any height.

In fact if looking purely at GC, Sam Day would be a better choice of the GC talls if looking for a lower cost option.

King will cost an arm and a leg both trade and money wise.

Wont happen at least not in next few years.

Salary cap changes.
Moore and Degoey contracts after Grundys 1 mil 7 year deal.
King hottest prospect under 20 and is a KPP. If he leaves will be a vic club bidding war pushing up his price vs age/experience.

What of the cap changes coming into effect?

What we also know is the AFL has asked the 18 clubs to cut its soft cap expenditure from $9.7 million to $8.7 million this year, and again to $6.7 million by the start of 2021.

Grundy on 1 mil alone. Will have to renegotiate his contract by the looks.

We don't want players whose heads are at places they shouldn't be.

There are some really interesting talls
in this draft. Without them playing it gets even harder to pick them though. I really like Thilthorpe, but looks like a top 10 selection, we would have to get another pick in the first round. Baldwin coming back from an ACL but again lack of games, but dominated U16 level. Callow might be there in the second round if we like him. Almost plays a JDG type forward role imo.

The name 'Callow' conjures up images of an immature, green young man forever caught in the body of a youth. I'd prefer one of the other two on name alone. ;)

Being 24 and not Drafted is a Very Big Red Card for me

He Extended his Contract with the Suns as well
