It always f**** up when its updating and loading the stats for the next year.

Holy Crap!

I was just gonna do the hawks list and get ppl from here to help do the other 06 teams lists for FF, but then i just saw how many categorys each player has for rankings on this game!

Age, Weight, Hieght, 1st 2nd 3rd preffered position, KPP, Report tendency, Injury tendancy, Grnd Goal acc, Mark Goal acc, Handball acc, long kick acc, short kick acc, long kick %, short kick %, handball %, player type, contract length, contract worth, uncontested mark, contested mark, tackle, run %, speed, ability and More!

Stuff That!

Neone got the 06 lists already done? :o

Still waiting, if he doesn't send it by this weekend I'll make new ones. Can somone give me the 05 files at least as I seem to have lost them (which I need to make 06 lists).

I have started the long process of creating them myself.

So far I have edited Richmond and St Kilda. In the middle of rating Collingwood at the moment.

I'll let you guys know when I complete them; probably be by the weekend if I am motivated enough. :thumbsu:

Nice work. I honoustly could not be stuffed.

One question though.....How on earth are you going to get realistic stats for every player of every team?

I couldn't figure out a possible way.

The AFL Record 2006 Season Preview booklet which came with a NAB Cup AFL Record helps a bit, as it has information on every player in the competition.

I am breaking up rating groups into:

95-99
Only one player in the competition will be rated this high... guess who? :)

90-94
All the competition's A-Grade midfielders, including Buckley, Dal Santo, Hodge, Cousins, Hayes, Bruce, West, Edwards, Goodwin etc.

85-89
Key-position players will be introduced here, including Fevola, Hall, Brown, Cox, Lade, Pavlich, Lloyd, Riewoldt, Whitnall, etc. But no higher as when a KPP is rated really high they dominate way too much in the game, including Ruckmen often getting 30+ possessions :thumbsd:

B Grade midfielders of the competition will be rated in this bracket, such as Coughlan, Mitchell, Kerr, Bartel, J. Bolton, K. Cornes, Goodes, Chapman, Power, Licuria, etc.

And the brackets get lower and lower. Players like Marc Murphy and Dale Thomas will be rated around the 70-74 mark.

Etc. :o

Thats sounds good but what I actually meant is how have you been realisticlly breaking each players stats down to Long Kick, Short Kick, H/Ball, Tackle, Goal Acc Grnd, Goal Acc Mark, Contested Mark, Uncontested Mark, Crumbing, Report Tendency, Injury Tendency, Health etc???

Is there a possible way to do this even half realistically with every player?

Yeah there are two ways i can think of -
Firstly, an advanced knowledge of every single player in the competition!
Or alternatively, the AFL Prospectus is a good guide as to how a player performs in most of those ratings

So your doing this all? Congratulations! Its not easy and is very time consuming!

Cox and 30 possessions seems reasonable though

Basically guess work. I would be confident on my ratings of most of the players in the AFL, except the new draftees pretty much.

Please note that players will be rated based on this season, hence the point of this year's lists.

Example: Michael Voss will no longer be 85-94, more around the 75-79 mark as he is nearing his end. Players suffering injuries from last year (ie. Nathan Brown, Nigel Lappin) will have their ratings diminish a tad, probably be placed in the 75-79 bracket.

Will Ben Mathews be 80+? He's a gun.

Also, where will Nathan Bassett, James McDonald and Ryan O'Keefe be?
He'd probably be around the 75-79 mark.

Bassett is also around 75-79.

McDonald will probably feature in the 80-84 group as he is having a stellar season.

O'Keefe will be around 75-79 or 80-84, depending on how I assess his form this season.

Where are you up to now mate?
I haven't been able to do much today due to school and work. So won't get much done tonight, but I have rated (ie. bracketed players on Notepad) Adelaide, Brisbane Lions, Carlton, Collingwood, Hawthorn, Melbourne, Richmond, St Kilda and West Coast.

Of those, Adelaide, Collingwood, Richmond, West Coast and St Kilda have been placed into the game.
