AFL opting out of people’s lives on Saturdays is a huge call and will cost them dearly, but further down the track than the current managements tenure - cricket is a long way down this path in a lot of countries
Kayo/fox is interesting
Now under huge pressure, ESPN etc. on Disney now, so AFL is their last golden goose, for the southern states at least.
But, the Saturday blackout looks like gouging families during a cost-of-living-crisis, and has caused huge reputational damage for them, as seen from the anger in this thread.
